What were the five most powerful weapons of Shri Krishna?

 Sudharsan Chakra

It was the Primary Weapon of Lord Krishna and he used it many times against powerful foes. One of the notable feats with this weapon is when he used it to cut off the thousands hands of Banasura:

With great force Gadadhara, worked up with ire, took up that wonderful discus, effulgent like the sun, at the discharge of which, all the worlds, mobile and immobile, become unconscious and flesh-eating creatures find great pleasure, discharged it and cut off Vana’s arms. When discharged by Shridhara, parmeating the universe, that firmament-like discus so moved about in the battle-field that no body could see its true form. Gradually cutting off Vana’s thousand arms and making him the owner of only two the Sudarshana discus returned into Krishna’s hands.

Narayanastra

He used this weapon to counter the Pashupatastra of Lord Shiva in Banasura Battle:

Lord Kṛṣṇa counteracted a brahmāstra with another brahmāstra, a wind weapon with a mountain weapon, a fire weapon with a rain weapon, and Lord Śiva’s personal pāśupatāstra weapon with His own personal weapon, the nārāyaṇāstra.

Vaishnavastra

In Shoniputra battle, He terrified and defeated Bhutas, Yakshas and Asuras using this weapon:

Having thus counteracted those four weapons with his four arrows Madhava discharged his Vaishnava weapon like unto Antaka (the destroyer) with his mouth wide open. When the Vaishnava weapon was discharged all the Bhutas, Yakshas and Asuras of Vana’s host, unconscious and stricken with fear, fled on all sides. Then beholding his army abounding in Pramathas thus routed the great Asura Vana speedily ran towards the battle-field.

Saranga Bow

One of the 3 great bows mentioned in Mahabharat previously owned by Vishnu himself:

There were three celestial bows owned by the denizens of heaven, viz., Gandiva owned by Varuna, the bow called Vijaya owned by Indra, and that other celestial bow of great energy said to have been owned by Vishnu. This last (Sarnga), capable of striking fear into the hearts of hostile warriors, was held by Krishna.

Kaumodaki Mace

He used this mace to kill Dantavakra:

Although hit by Dantavakra’s club, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the deliverer of the Yadus, did not budge from His place on the battlefield. Rather, with His massive Kaumodakī club the Lord struck Dantavakra in the middle of his chest. His heart shattered by the club’s blow, Dantavakra vomited blood and fell lifeless to the ground, his hair disheveled and his arms and legs sprawling

At the poles of the magnetar, enormous X-ray and gamma-ray bursts are formed by crustal earthquakes.

According to the latest findings, magnetars are almost perfect spheres. Their highest points are only a few millimeters high.

There is much we don't know about magnetars. For example, their structure.

When 1.5 solar masses are compressed into a sphere of 20km, forces arise that atoms cannot withstand, and matter becomes a soup consisting of neutrons and quarks.

Which are a few powerful mantras which Hindus can chant to reduce sins and get nearer to the Lord?

 I have written a similar answer before, so I'm posting that content.

Before knowing the powerful mantras, let us first understand what are mantras, how they came into existence, when to chant and what is the use of chanting.

Mantras are like medicine for the soul, they are the best way to connect to God.

• Mantras, Ashtothram, Stothrams, Sahasranamam all are for praising the Almighty where in you explore the inner meanings and thus realize the greatness of God and strive to merge into Him by attaining the ultimate bliss.
• Our ancestors while performing Yagnas or doing Tapasya, used to chant various hymns / mantras, to please God and get their various wishes fulfilled.

• You have to believe in the mantra and Stothrams and pronounce them perfectly with pure love, trust and belief then, you can feel them in your chitt ( soul ), then the mantras does wonders to you.

What is a mantra ?

• Mantra is a word / sound, which is repeated to help in concentration while meditating. When ever you recite any mantra, you can feel the positive vibes / energy.
• Every mantra has amazing power and strength. Foremost, have trust and belief in the mantra or Stotram. Mantras has favorable outcome and help in erasing obstacles. You start to progress spiritually by chanting mantras, You will be in the path of Enlightenment / realization.

• Mantras help in washing away of your sins and helps in purification of speech. You would start living according to Dharma and for sure , you will stop using filthy language.
• If you are not able to chant any mantra, then you can chant any God's name.

According to Sama-Veda, it is believed that, chanting of mantras will activate your Chakras and thus lead you into path of Enlightenment, and even the people who listen to Mantras had noticed increased temperatures around the Chakras.

Few mantras which you can chant are ::

• Shiva :: you would observe that after chanting Shiva for few times, it would transform into Vashi, means Shiva would take over you, that is Vashikaran
• Shivoham = Shiva + aham ( I ), this means you are Shiva, that is why the mantra is, Chidananda roopah shivoham shivoham, which means the blissfulstate of me ( soul ) is Shiva.
• When you chant the Maha mrityunjaya mantra, you would have a long and peaceful life ( death conquering mantra ).
• When you chant Om, you can feel the cosmic Energy.
• Chant the Panchakshari mantra “ Namah Shivaaya “, and you can feel the positive vibes, and you will realize that your body is made up of the five elements of the nature and everything is Shiva.
• Om Namo Narayanaya, chant this mantra for Lord Vishnu, the protector and operator for your life and even the entire Universe.

Great devotees of Shiva namely Bhaktha Markendeya and Sati Savitri, who could overcome their Karma, because of chanting the Maha mrityunjaya mantra, and Panchakshari mantra “ Namah Shivaaya” have set examples for us.

Even a dacoit like Valmiki, transformed into a great poet by chanting Rama’s name and wrote “Ramayana” ( he could not pronounce the word “Rama” and pronounced it as “Mara”.)

Goddess Parvathi, did years of penance and chanted Shiva's name and thus got God Shiva as her husband.

King Ravana was able to get Darshan of Shiva and could even lift the Khailash mountain by chanting Shiva's name and mantra.

Who was more powerful, Ramana Maharshi or Nisargadatta Maharaj?

Self realized : Ramana Maharshi was a self realized soul ; who attained realization on his own.

He was a great master on Advaita Vedanta.

Ramana Maharshi exhorted devotees to probe “Who Am I “ (soul searching)

He used to sit around Arunachala hill and treated it as a living Shiva.

He hardly spoke but his silent gaze on a devotee produced mystical experience.

Ramana Maharshi didn’t teach anything; but, devotees indirectly and silently learnt from him.

Learnt : Nisargadatta Maharaj learnt Vedanta under Siddheswar Maharaj , a great saint.

He was known as a great master of Advaita Vedanta.

He simply emphasized on “ I Am That” (part of eternal consciousness)

He often pointed out, human being is simply a witness to cosmic play enacted by almighty,

Nisargadatta Maharaj strongly believed in Bhakti and Guru Kripa.

Facts : Both spiritual masters are adored by seers and devotees alike.

They both were far away from ego ( I ,Me , Mine).

One shouldn’t and can’t compare two great saints.

The debate over who was stronger between Karna and Arjuna is one of the most fascinating aspects of the Mahabharata. Both warriors were matchless archers, divine sons of powerful deities, and possessed extraordinary skills, making them almost equal rivals on the battlefield. To understand who was truly stronger, we have to examine their individual achievements, their unique qualities, and the ultimate circumstances of their final clash at Kurukshetra.

Karna, the son of the Sun God Surya, was born with divine armor and earrings that made him virtually invincible. His strength was not just physical, but also lay in his mental resilience and his legendary generosity. He was known as Danveer Karna because he could never refuse anyone who asked for charity. His absolute confidence and power are evident from the fact that he willingly cut off his own birthright protection, the Kavacha and Kundala, and gifted them to Indra, knowing it would make him vulnerable.

Beyond his charity, Karna defeated powerful warriors like Bhima, Sahadeva, and Nakula during the war, sparing their lives only due to a promise made to his mother, Kunti. He also possessed the deadly Vasavi Shakti dart, which was capable of killing any enemy, and was a master of divine weapons.

On the other hand, Arjuna, the son of Indra, was the ultimate personification of focus, discipline, and devotion to archery. Under the guidance of Dronacharya, Arjuna became a flawless warrior who excelled in every form of combat. His achievements were monumental: he defeated the entire Kuru army single-handedly during the Virata war, won the hand of Draupadi by piercing the eye of a rotating fish just by looking at its reflection, and even pleased Lord Shiva in combat to obtain the Pashupatastra. Arjuna possessed the Gandiva bow, a celestial weapon that never failed, and two inexhaustible quivers. His focus was so sharp that he could shoot arrows with equal precision using both hands, earning him the name Savyasachi.

When comparing them face-to-face, their skills were beautifully matched, and throughout the war, they countered each other’s finest attacks. However, during their final duel on the seventeenth day of the Kurukshetra war, multiple curses and a tragic twist of fate caught up with Karna. The earth swallowed the wheel of Karna's chariot due to an old curse. As his chariot sank, the intense stress caused him to forget the incantations for his most powerful weapons, which was another curse from his guru, Parashurama.

Karna stepped down from his chariot, put his weapons aside, and bowed down to lift the heavy wheel out of the mud. He appealed to Arjuna’s sense of Kshatriya dharma, asking him not to strike an unarmed warrior who was grounded. Arjuna hesitated, knowing that attacking an unarmed man went against the codes of righteous warfare.

At this critical moment, Lord Krishna intervened. Krishna reminded Arjuna of the multiple occasions where dharma had been completely abandoned by Karna and his allies. Krishna asked where Karna's sense of righteousness was when Abhimanyu was brutally surrounded and killed by multiple warriors, or when Draupadi was humiliated in the royal court. Krishna explained that Karna had actively supported those unrighteous acts, and therefore, cosmic justice demanded his end. Prompted by Krishna's words about restoring balance and punishing past wrongdoings, Arjuna released the fatal Anjalika weapon, which struck Karna while he was still trying to free his chariot wheel.

Ultimately, deciding who was stronger depends on how strength is measured. If physical invincibility and dealing with constant misfortune are the criteria, Karna stands out as a tragic hero who fought against fate itself. If supreme focus, divine blessings, and fighting on the path of righteousness are the measures, Arjuna proved himself to be the ultimate victor. Their legendary rivalry remains perfectly balanced because while Arjuna won the battle, Karna won eternal glory for his unmatched bravery and sacrifice.

How powerful was Pradyuman in the Mahabharata?

 Pradyumna was eldest son of Shri Krishna and Mata Rukmini. He was Incarcation of Sanathakumara as well as Kamadeva . He was one of the most powerful warriors of Dwarapar yuga .Pradyumna was eldest Son of Shri Krishna and Mata Rukmini who was lakshmi herself and his first wife. He was abducted by demon Sambara 7 days after his birth and threw into ocean. He was then swallowed by Fish and when fish was caught and cut open he was found in sambara's house. He was given to Mayawati who was cook in Samabara's house but was Rati wife of kamadeva in disguise.

Let's come to his power and feats.

1. Pradyumna killed the all Sons of Sambara in battle.

Krishna's son too, worked up with anger, struck them in the battle each with five arrows shot off his bow. Thereupon those resolute Asuras, exceedingly wroth, set up a net-work of weapons for killing Pradyumna. There at worked up with anger Ananga soon took up his bow .He then killed the ten highly powerful sons of Shamvara.The next moment, filled with anger the powerful son of Keshava soon cut off Chitrasena's head with a Bhalla. There upon the remaining sons of Shamvara, anxious to fight, began to run taking up and discharging arrows. And for killing Ananga they all unitedly fought and shot arrows. The highly powerful son of Krishna, on the other hand, cut off their heads, as if in sport. Having thus slain one hundred sons of Shamvara, all good bow men, he stood in the battle field desirous of fighting.

2. Pradyumna was one of the warriors who possesed The Rare powerful Vaishnavastra of Shri Hari Vishnu. He slayed demon sambara with vaishnavastra. Narada gave him vaishnavastra on orders of Indra taking it from him.

Thereupon informed of his motive the king of gods said to Närada —“Do you soon approach the car of the large armed Pradyumna, make him conscious and remind him of his pristine birth. Give that of slayer of Asura this invincible coat of mail and Vaishnava weapons.”

Thereupon bending his bow and setting to it the Vaishnava arrow which Närada had brought, Keshava's son said:-“O arrow, if I am the son of Rukshmini begotten by Keshava do thou, on the strength of this truth, kill Shamvara in the battle-field.” Saying this the noble-minded Pradyumna, as if to consume the three worlds, drew his bow and shot the arrow at Shamvara. Thereupon that arrow, discharged by that Vrishni chief, piercing Shamvara's breast, entered into the earth. By the energy of that Vaishnava arrow all his flesh, bones, nerves, skull and blood were reduced to ashes.

3. Pradyumna was one of the few warriors who knew complete secret of chakravyuha.

Addressing Abhimanyu, that slayer of hostile heroes, who was not inferior to Vasudeva himself and whose energy was superior to that of Arjuna, the king said, 'O child, act in such a way that Arjuna, returning (from the Samsaptakas), may not reprove us. We do not know how to break the circular array. Thyself, or Arjuna or Krishna, or Pradyumna, can pierce that array. O mighty-armed one, no fifth person can be found (to achieve that teat).

4. Arjuna said he trusts only Pradyumna and Satyaki for protection of Yudhisthira.

Making over the monarch to thee, O mighty-armed one, or to that great car-warrior Pradyumna, I can go with an easy heart towards Jayadratha.

5. Pradyumna was Guru to Abhimanyu as well as Upapandavas in Dwarka.

And, O Krishna, as Rukmini's son is the preceptor of Aniruddha, of Abhimanyu, of Sunitha, and of Bhanu; so he is the preceptor and the refuge of your sons also! And a good preceptor, would unceasingly give them lessons in the wielding of maces and swords and bucklers, in missiles and in the arts of driving cars and of riding horses, being valiant. And he, the son of Rukmini, having bestowed a very good training upon them, and having taught them the art of using various weapons in a proper way, takes satisfaction at the valorous deeds of your sons, and of Abhimanyu.

6. Pradyumna's only arrows were powerful enough to defeat like of Kripa and karna and drona.

Kripa and Drona and Vikarna and Kama are not able to bear the keen arrows shot by Pradyumna.

7. Pradyumna accompanied Krishna and Balrama in banasur battle and defeated Lord Kartikeya in battle.

Kārtikeya was so strongly beaten by Pradyumna that he fled the battlefield, while the remnants of Bāṇāsura’s army, harried by the blows of Lord Balarāma’s club, scattered in all directions.

8. Pradyumna was a great illusionist. He had repulsed and destroyed strong illusions of Sambara and Shalva .
