Yakshinis: Maid of Lord Shiva
The concept of different worlds has been adopted in Hindu beliefs. Gods and goddesses reside in all these worlds and the distance of all these from the mortal world i.e. earth is different. On this basis, it is believed that worshipping the gods and goddesses of the world which is closest to earth yields quick results.
Among all these worlds, Vishnu Loka is the highest and the lower world is of Yakshas, Yakshinis and Apsaras. Therefore, it is not wrong to say that the fruits of doing sadhna of Yakshas and Yakshinis are attained relatively quickly, because it is very close to the earth.
