What are some famous people who received very curious and unknown posthumous diagnoses?

Abraham Lincoln was notably tall; in fact, he was the tallest president in United States history.

He was 1.93 meters tall, tall even by today's standards.

But in the 19th century, when the average American was 1.67m tall (compared to 1.78m today), he was a giant.

But, in addition to that, he had an unusual appearance, enormous hands, long limbs, pronounced facial features, leading people to believe that he might have Marfan Syndrome.

It is a disease that produces unusual facial features, height, and long limbs.

It was also reported that Lincoln had health problems in recent years, which could suggest an untreated illness: he had chest problems, pain in his hands and wrists, to the point of having to hold his wrist to sign things .

Scientific speculation on this subject began in 1962, when Dr. Harold Schwartz treated a descendant of Lincoln who was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome.

A committee was formed in the early 1990s to debate whether they should test their DNA, but they decided not to proceed with it in order to protect their privacy.

Although still debated, one diagnosis that is accepted is that Lincoln likely had a genetic disease, which appeared to run in his "Marphonic" family.

So, if you're at a social gathering, now you have an interesting fact to share ;)

Lincoln's height and appearance were due to a genetic condition.
