Akshay Kumar rides a Vardenchi Chopper (a customised Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350) in the film, “Oh My God!” where he plays the character of Krishna Vasudev Yadav.
The bike was built at Vardenchi, a Mumbai-based custom motorcycle shop, (using a Royal Enfeild bullet as the base). The bike was modified as a chopper with eye-catching graphic jobs, mirror-finish chrome, a double-sided swinged arm and a massive 300 mm rear tyre.
Akshai Varde (who’s company has designed it) was briefed about the backdrop and the plot of the film. The team designed it accordingly. Several weeks were required to finalise the bespoke chassis and paint scheme prior to the commencement of principal photography.
It took 45 days for them to build it specifically for Akshay's Krishna avatar in the film.
Akshay Kumar loved the striking “drool factor” of the bike's design. The custom-built superbike was valued at approximately Rs.1 Million.
The custom chopper motorcycle acted as a modernisation of Lord Krishna's chariot. The registration plate displayed “OM + 786” representing Hindu, Muslim and Christian iconographies within a single technical prop.
