More than Jailer, I find LEO to be far more similar to Baasha.
• Both protagonists are living a quiet, ordinary life in starting of the film.
• Both have left behind their violent identities.
• The story revolves around the mystery of the protagonist's true identity.
• The villains gradually realize that the seemingly ordinary man is actually someone they once feared.
• Both films use flashbacks to reveal the hero's past and explain why he disappeared.
• Both movies use the hero's past as a mystery rather than revealing everything at the beginning.
• Both films create suspense by delaying the complete reveal of the hero's past.
However, the Baashha template is common in South Indian mass cinema. Many films had already used the same concept well before Leo.
