Is it true that Muhammad Ghori wanted to capture Naikidevi of Gujarat before Sanyogita?

Maharani Sanyogita

Sanyogita was daughter of Maharaja Jaichand and her mother was daughter of Mukunda Deva Somvanshi. She was one of the most beautiful Princesses of her era. Ghori wanted to capture lands beyond Ghazni and therefore he came in tussle with Chalukyas, Chahmanas and later Gahadwals.

Naiki Devi

Naiki Devi was the queen of Ajaipal and mother of Mularaja of Chalukyas of Gujarat. When her lands got threatened by Ghori, she took the weapons and commanded her army and in 1178 CE, she defeated Ghurid army at the Battle of Kasahrada and that too so badly, Ghori never dared to attack Chalukyas again. Some folklores like Merutanga mentions in his work say that she kept Mularaja on her lap (as he was a child) and then fought the Ghurid army. Raso, Rasmala and other Persian writers says that it's Bhimdev who fought Ghurids. Nevertheless, the victory was so huge that Ghori never again looked at Chalukyas and focussed on Chahmanas.

In 1191 CE, Prithviraj successfully defeated Ghori but then Raso writes he attacked Kannauj as he wanted to get Jaichand's daughter Sanyogita who was in love with him. They eloped and it caused a major war in which his most capable officers died and his army became weak. Later, he fell in obsession with Sanyogita and neglected his duties which ultimately led to his defeat in Second Battle of Tarain in 1192 CE and Prithviraj was brutally tortured and then executed.

Raso is an interpolated source nevertheless all the sources available mentions that Prithviraja was captured and executed. The obsession with Sanyogita looks more like a lesson for later kings than actual history as other sources say Prithviraja was busy capturing Tabarhind after first Battle of Tarain.

The fate of Sanyogita is mentioned in Raso only and it's written that when she heard that Prithviraj was captured, she lost her life immediately, her soul left her body to reunite with her husband in heaven.

Patrani Icchini

Icchini was the Chief Queen of Prithviraj Chauhan and it's alleged that when she heard Prithviraja was captured she wore a warrior’s dress and went in the battlefield to rescue her husband but got martyred in the battlefield. It's also alleged that she was mother of Govindraja. If she had been successful, her stature would be same like Naiki Devi in history.

The brave Queens always fought for their lands and honour no matter what were the malicious intentions of invaders.
