The veil ( ghoonghat) system in North India
It is completely faulty , useless and pointless
If you are pseudo - feminist or doesn't support feminism, I kindly request you to back off.
The reasons why I don't support this system :
- We all are human beings, and then why should we hide our identity from our fellow beings.
- I heard it somewhere that in Mughal era, Muslim men or invaders used to abduct Hindu women and that's when from where this system originated. But in this contemporary world, it has no relevance.
- Ok, even if girls had to wear a veil why would the basis of wearing of veil doesn't depend on her age.
- She has to cover her face from those people who are older to her husband, even by a day or a year and sometimes, it is seen that she has to wear veil from every male, whether young or old. Too much patriarchy, isn't it ?
- My friends, if it is done for like the dignity of a woman and to protect her identity from strangers, then listen carefully, a woman is capable to fight for herself and she isn't penurious to your so-called veil to guard herself.
- If it's about the respect of elders, will be it shown only when you cover your face , how come is it possible? Respect should be in our hearts.
- And if still someone wants your wife, sister, mother or any other woman then you should also have a veil, on your eyes because you are the reason she has to compromise.
- In this progressive world, this system holds no stance and it will not abolished by a legal system or some rules, it will be abandoned only when you will realise that it is bootless and unavailing.
