What was the real reason behind Lord Rama's Vanvas (exile)?

In Bal Kand, Mahavishnu after pleadings of Devtas decided to incarnate in House of Raghu to destroy Ravana. Mata Sita too is called consort of Vishnu (Mahalaxmi) many times in the epic.

The reason of exile of Shri Ram was Kaikeyi’s ambition to forever remain relevant in the Kingdom. She had no problem with his coronation, she had problem with Kaushalya gaining more power and prestige than her. If only she had discussed her insecurities with Dashrath rather than panicking and wanting her boons, many things wouldn't take place. Shri Ram understood that Kaikeyi won't stop till she has achieved her goals so to please her , he left for the exile although Laxmana was against it, he said he thinks the destiny wants him to go in this exile.

The ambition of Kaikeyi was the reason for exile of Shri Ram historically and devotionally , MahaVishnu incarnated to destroy demon Ravana who made the world cry.

What is the true purpose of Pitru Paksha? What is the real reason for Pind Daan?

Legend : According to Mahabharat ; when Maharathi Karna attained heaven ; he got gold as food.

He was told by Indra that all his life ; he had only donated Gold and other priceless valuables.

But, he did not feed a hungry soul or offer prayers to his ancestors.

Forgiveness : Karna told Indra that being raised as an orphan ; he did not known about his ancestors.

He revealed ; he only learnt about his true parents during Mahabharat.

Prayers : Indra and other deities accepted his view and allowed him to perform prayers to his ancestors.

He was granted 16 more days in earth to perform prayers for his ancestors.

For 16 days ; he sought forgiveness from his ancestors for committing any sin against them.

Gratitude : Karna kept on donating food to his ancestors ; priests ; sages and hungry souls.

He thanked them for being part of human journey.

Facts : Ever since; Hindus observe Pitru Paksha.

It is meant to show gratitude to ancestors for being originators of specific human journey.

It also a way to thank almighty ; mother nature and fellow human beings for many blessings.

For 16 long days ; Hindus are expected to serve downtrodden and stick to inner and outer purity.

Many also serve cows ; sages ; elders and downtrodden as a mark of respect to elders.

ಶವ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ವೇಳೆ ನೀರಿನ ಮಡಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒಡೆಯಲು ಕಾರಣ

 ಮಾನವ ಸತ್ತ ನಂತರ ದಹನ ಅಥವಾ ಹೂಳುವುದರ ತನಕ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಖಾತರಿ ಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳೋದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಕುಟುಕು ಜೀವ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಅಥವಾ coma ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡೋದು ತಪ್ಪಾಗುತ್ತೆ . ಶವಕ್ಕೆ ತಣ್ಣೀರು ಹಾಕೋದು,ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಹಾಕೋದು, ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಅಳೋದು, ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಬಾರಿಸೋದು, ಕಾಯ್ನ್ ಬಿಸಾಕೋದು, ಮಡಕೆಯ ತಣ್ಣೀರು ಸುತ್ತ ಬೇಳೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡೋದು, ಕತ್ತರಿಲೀ ಬಟ್ಟೆ cut ಮಾಡೋದು , ಎದೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ಪೂರ ಹಚ್ಚೋದು, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ನೀರಿನ ಮಡಕೆ ಒಡೆಯಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಶವದ 2 ಕಾಲಿನ ಹೆಬ್ಬೆರಳುಗಳನ್ನು ದರ್ಭೆ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ದರ್ಭೆ ತುಂಡಾದರೆ ಶರೀರವು ಶವವಲ್ಲ, ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂತ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಕೂಡಾ ಒಂದು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ವಿಧಾನ ಅಂತ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.ಇವುಗಳೂ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅನ್ನೋಕೆ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿದ ಮಡಕೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಚಿತೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಡುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀರಿನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸತ್ತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಚಿತೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆ ಚಿತೆಯ ಸುತ್ತ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಸುತ್ತು ಬಂದಾಗಲು ನೀರಿನ ಮಡಕೆಯು ಒಂದೊಂದು ರಂಧ್ರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀರು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತ್ಯಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಚಿತೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಬೀಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಮಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಕೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೀಳಿಸಿ ಒಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ದೊರೆತು ತನ್ನ ದೇಹದೊಂದಿಗಿನ ಸಂಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಶವವನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಡವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಗಿಡಮರಗಳು ತುಂಬಿದ ಸ್ಮಶಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.ಚಿತೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೀರು ಬೀಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಚಿತೆಯ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಬೇರೆಡೆಗೆ ಹಬ್ಬುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆತ್ಮವು ಕೂಡ ಮಡಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೀರಿನಂತೆ ಒಂದಲ್ಲ ಒಂದು ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ ಅಂತ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮಡಕೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಿತಾವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ಅವನ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಣದಂತಹ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ದೇಹವು ಒಂದು ಮಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ. ದೇಹದೊಳಗಿರುವ ಜೀವಾತ್ಮ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಯಿತು ಎಂಬ ಸಂಕೇತವನ್ನು ಮಡಿಕೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನೀರು ತುಂಬಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ನೀರು ಚೆಲ್ಲುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
