Did Zeenat Aman ever leave Bollywood?

 Yes, Zeenat Aman stayed away from the glamour world for about 10 long years. Aman's last film of that period was Gawahi. In 1989 the film was released when Aman's marriage with Mazhar was matured for four years only.

The glamour queen of seventies was not lucky in relationship. Earlier her name was associated with Pakistani cricketer and ex prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan although the relationship did not last long.

Later Aman married actor Sanjay Khan in 1979 but the couple separted after one year.

Failure in two successive relationships might make her craved for a true love in life. Her relationship with Mazhar Khan blossomed after the 1979 film Sampark and the couple tied the knot in 1985.

Aman later admitted that her relationship with Mazhar Khan was not perfect.Mazhar Khan did not allow her to act in films. Aman was forced to leave Bollywood to take care of her two children.

The lovely actress once opened up about her private life and talked about how unhappy she was in her marriage.

In 1998, Mazhar died after severe kidney failure. After Mazhar's death, Aman tried to start the second round of her Bollywood career with the film Bhopal Express.

Later she worked in several movies although she was not able to retain her position.

 Zeenath Aman has the credit of being t he first bold actresses of Bollywood(19 78).The scenes in Satyam Shivam Sund aram was very controversial as it was c hallenging our Indian Culture,Tradition and Moral Values.

• She wanted to change her on screen image from Western type to a village girl Rupa.She also tried to prove that she is a versatile actress.
• She had a burning desire to work with the top director and Showman,Raj Kapoor of Bollywood.
• The scenes and dresses were part of the story of Satyam Shivam Sundaram and she took it at the proffesional front.She did not shy away from doing it because actresses cannot make any choice.
• Her character was to explore the difference between physical attraction and spiritual love.Rupa,the character played by Zeenat had a burned face.
• Zeenat Aman wore white reveal ing saree and she was wet in a water fall but this scene stirred lots of controversy and anger a mong the masses of India.Zeen at is a true proffesional and she did bold scenes according to th e the direction of the Director.

The costumes were designed by Bhanu Athiya were very revealing and the peop le were very angry.Some sensual mudr as were inculcated to make it more sex y.The movie tried to promote Nudity an d Obscenity.Zeenat Amans performance was applauded by people and she gave mesmerising performance.
