I will list some weird rituals that are/were followed somewhere in world that will definitely shock you.
- 72 HOURS BATHROOM BAN AFTER THE WEDDING IN NORTHERN BORNE. The Tidong tribe in northern Borne follow a very ill ritual where the newly-wed couples are not allowed to urinate, defecate or even take showers for three consecutive days.
- HIGH HEELS FOR MEN. High heels were, at various points of time in history, worn by men as well as women. Whilst it is unclear when high heels were first invented, they were used by ancient Greek actors.
- HIMBA OF NORTHERN NAMIBIA. A Himba woman only takes a bath once in her life, just before getting married. She washes her hair with ash, and will keep the same hairstyle until she dies.
- DRINKING COW BLOOD IN KENYA AND TANZANIA. A tribe called Masai inhibiting the southern parts of Kenya and northern parts of Tanzania often consume cow blood to commemorate special occasions like childbirth and marriage. It is also used as a cure for a hangover and is a popular ritual to be performed by puncturing the cow's neck with an arrow.
- CUTTING OFF FINGERS : The women of the Dani tribe physically express that grief of someone’s death by cutting off (by compulsion) a segment of one of their fingers.
- LIVING WITH DEAD : The Toraja people of Indonesia exhumes the corpses of dead people. The corpse is draped in special garments and paraded around the village. Even the bodies of children and bodies that are decades old are exhumed.
