What are some surprising facts about Albert Einstein?

 Einstein loved to sail, viewing it as a way to relax and think, but he was notoriously bad at it.

He couldn't swim and frequently capsized his boat, named Tümmler (German for "porpoise"), often needing to be rescued by his neighbors in Long Island. He didn't let his lack of skill or inability to swim deter him.

Also, Einstein did not wear socks.

He found them unnecessary and felt they were an annoyance, often bragging to friends about getting away with not wearing them, even in formal settings.

So we can deduce that, while capcizing frequently, at least he never got his socks wet

Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski (born June 3, 1993) is an American theoretical physicist from Chicago, of Cuban-American origin, with a particular interest in high-energy physics. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and then earned a PhD from Harvard University and a PCTS Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University. Snopes magazine labeled her “the new Albert Einstein” due to her incredible achievements at a young age. Her first work, in fact, led to the discovery of the “spin memory effect”, which can be used to detect or verify the net effects of gravitational waves. She then completed the “Pasterski–Strominger–Zhiboedov Triangle”, for electromagnetic memory, which was later cited in a 2016 work by Stephen Hawking, giving her incredible visibility. In 2003, at the age of 10, she took her first flying lesson; in 2005, at age 12, he co-piloted the FAA1 at the Oshkosha Airshow, and in 2006 he began building his own kit airplane, which he flew in 2009.
