There were few scenes in Maine Pyar Kiya which were a matter of concern for Bhagyashree. The crying incident is related with the concluding part of the song Kabootar Jaa Jaa.
The song ends with Bhagyashree running towards Salman and hugging him. Bhagyashree was just 18 at that time and was going to marry Himalaya.
She had never hugged a guy till then. As she was shy and belonged to a conservative family she was upset to do the scene. For about half an hour Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan scratched their heads to figure out a solution as they had to showcase Suman’s and Prem’s love in some way.
When nothing worked, Salman innocently requested Bhagyashree to do the scene. Finally she got convinced to do the scene but after the scene was filmed she started crying and was upset for almost three hours.
Besides this, there were two on-the-spot changes during the song Mere Rang Mein. The kiss scene was picturised using a glass.
There is glass between them during the kiss and the lip-stick mark on the glass symbolises the kiss. The birthday gift dress scene had a revealing outfit but Bhagyashree was again upset to do the scene. The scene was improvised.
Two golden colour cloths (which are used to wrap reflectors) were used. They were stiched together and the scene was shot from back angle.
