 There are many reasons for actors/actresses not working with a director. It can be date problems, payment issues, dislikement for script but one offer of Raj Kapoor was turned down by actress Suchitra Sen for some other reason.

Suchitra Sen despite being a cheerful person was yet moody, selective and used to take her decisions guided by her own temperament. It becomes a bit difficult for a director to convince such actors and therefore they usually try out something different to make them feel special. Raj Kapoor tried something on his part which did not work in the favour of the director.

Raj Kapoor met Suchitra Sen at her Kolkatta residence with an offer for a R. K Film. Raj Kapoor suddenly knelt before her and offered her a bouquet of roses while offering her the role. Suchitra was instantly on backfoot by Raj Kapoor's effusiveness.

The question in her mind was, “Why a man has to bow down before a woman like this”?

She was polite enough to refuse Raj Kapoor's offer.

Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar was in a film called Haseena. What is the film's synopsis?

 Haseena: Smart, Sexy, Dangerous is a fictional drama about a woman’s ambition and obsession. The film had a limited theatrical release in 2006 and starred Isha Koppikar, Raj Babbar, Kiran Janjani and Preeti Janghiani in lead roles.

Haseena (Isha Koppikar) plays a woman driven by intense desire and dissatisfaction who can do anything for what she wants. Raj Babbar is a widower and a businessman who lives with his daughter played by Preeti Janghiani. He appoints Haseena (Isha) as his secretary and also invites her to live in his home.

Kiran Janjani who happens to be the son of Babbar’s friend moves to stay at their place and develops likeness for Haseena which futher leads to their physical intimacy. Further, Kiran marries Preeti ( Babbar’s daughter). Haseena gets so much obsessed with her own relation with Kiran that she is left with only two choices. She has to either kill Preeti or commit suicide.

In the climax she commits suicide by shooting herself. It was also dubbed in Tamil titled Minsara Kadhali. The storyline of the film is of obsession and revenge where the main character (Haseena) is a combination of ambition, seduction and danger.

Who is the actress in the movie Mela? Why did Kajol refuse to act in this film?

 The lead actress in the film, “Mela” is Twinkle Khanna. The original starcast in 1995 was supposed to be as Sunny Deol, Sunjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty and the film was titled, “Jaanwar”.

Later, Kajol was also considered for the role but she had reservations to work with Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan has always been known as a perfectionist who gets into the minute details of every shot.

Kajol was uncomfortable with Aamir Khan’s requirement for extensive takes to achieve perfection. Describing herself as a “one-take” actor she preferred a different working style and therefore very graciously went to director Dharmesh Darshan’s house and expressed her discomfort to do the film.

The other reason can be that Kajol did not have a good time on the sets of, “Ishq” which also starred Aamir Khan. Kajol had mentioned that Aamir and Juhi Chawla shared a good bond and at times Kajol and Ajay Devgan felt left out. Even Indra Kumar was a good friend of Aamir Khan and the three were a sort of “close-knit group”. There were certain days on the set when Kajol was not willing to talk to anybody.

However, Kajol and Ajay Devgun indeed grew closer during the filming of Ishq and got married in 1999.

Later, Kajol was seen with Aamir Khan in “Fanaa” which released in 2006.
