Three good actors were considered to play protagonist in “Munna Bhai MBBS”

Anil Kapoor : Film maker Raj Kumar Hirani considered Anil Kapoor to play the lead role.

Anil Kapoor had played many street smart characters in Woh Saat Din, Ram Lakhan , Tezaab, Sahib.

He happy go lucky persona suited this good movie.

Vivek Oberoi : Some media reports claim, Vivek Oberoi was also considered to play protagonist.

Vivek was known for his energetic , youthful and smiling personality.

Why did Vivek Oberoi refuse to work in Munnabhai MBBS?

 Vivek Oberoi was also approached to play the lead role in the film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. but things did not work out.

This happened during the release of Vivek’s film “Company”. Vivek loved the script and initially agreed to do the film.

He even took part in a few workshops but had to decline the role later. Vivek was shooting for other projects simultaneously and could not manage the dates, causing him to back out shortly before filming began.

In later interviews Vivek mentioned that he wanted to do the film but Sanjay Dutt was destined to do the role of Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.
