Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru ( Disney+ Hotstar)
The film begins with a bullet being fired and a person getting hit by a car while running acroos the road .The film never slows down therefater.Karthik Naren ( the director) was only 22 when he made his debut with this brilliantly crafted storyline combined with an impressive screenplay. And watch out for the big reveal !
Vikram Vedha (Disney+ Hotstar)
The story of Vikramadityan and Vedhalam gets a police setting . Vikram (played by Maddy) and Vedha (played by Vijay Sethupathi….what more do you need )get involved in a Cat and Mouse game which keeps on getting personal with time. A brilliantly crafted film with brilliant acting make it a thrilling ride.

A traffic cop becomes obsessed with a case after discovering some skeletons in an area in Bengaluru. Although the plot moves slowly at the start it picks up speed at the interval and takes you by surprise at the climax. watch out for the brilliant performances and the visuals.

Agent Sai Srinivas Attreya (Amazon prime video)
Navin Polishetty starrs in this Telugu thriller (he is also the co writer) in this brilliant investigative thriller. Sai Srinivas( Naveen) runs a detective agency called FBI and solves petty cases which hardly bring money . Trouble starts when he starts investigating a dead body he discovers besides a railway track. Watch out for the twists, turns and plot reveals which make it a brilliant viewing.
Nenokkadine (Amazon prime video)
Mahesh Babu plays a rockstar suffering from a mental disorder due to his troubled past. The film explores his journey to find answers about his identity. Commercial aspects are kept into mind and the technicalities especially the cinematography make it a good watch.
Brochevarevarura (Amazon Prime video)
Three not so bright students devise a plan to help another one (who is incidentally Principals daughter).However things turn from bad to worse pretty fast. A gripping plot and taut screenplay make it a superb film to watch.
Evaru( Amazon prime video)
Although it is a remake of the Spanish film “ The invisible guest” Evaru's fast pace keeps you at the edge of the seat. Debut director Venkat keeps you guessing throughout and the climax surely provides the cherry on the cake.
Awe ( Netflix)
The best of the lot. Short filmmaker Prashant Verma makes his brilliant debut with this technical masterpiece.Awe is a story of five different characters and how their stories get intervowven seamlessly. A run time of just under two hours combined with superb editing, cinematography make it a flawless experience. Watch out for the climax. You would surely go” Awe!”
