 Most of the actresses claim that they were training to become doctors or lawyers of IAS but one day some director or producer saw her in a cofee shop and approached her to play the lead role in their film and she became an accidental actress.

All such stories are utter nonsense. Actresses grind for years to get work especially if you don't have contacts (many time with contacts and generous help from certain people in the industry even non actors get through movies while the actual talent keep waiting). And when they become stars they do two things- invent such stories which makes them feel humble, down to earth and wholesome personality with a story that could be sold to people.

The second thing they do is change their birth date in public platforms. And not just the new ones, the likes of Sridevi, Jayaprada, Mandakini, Aditi Rao Haideri all had different dates of birth when they entered the industry and suddenly they became younger with age. And the biggest culprit here was Mallika Sherawat who has a fake name, age and identity. She was an air hostess as early as 1992 at the age of 18 which meant he was way above 30 when she became a star with murder. But she was constantly in denial about his divorcee status, the allegations of her family about her and her age.

Also actresses tend to hide their Bollywood connections. So Kiara Advani won't tell you about her connections with the families of Saeed Jaffery and Ashok Kumar, Ameesha Patel portrayed herself as an outsider while hiding her family connections with Rakesh Roshan's family. Amrita Singh’s mother used her political contacts to get her through films, etc.

In many families of these actresses the whole family depends on the income of the heroine. So Jayaprada’s secretary used to be her brother who conducted the theatres owned by her in her name, Aishwarya Rao's family used her money and connections to produce a film Dil ka Rishta which failed badly, Hema Malini’s mother used to handle her finances for a very long time and even used it to produce films like Swami. People who criticize the current age gap difference between actor and actresses, shouldn't forget that 70s, 80s, 90s was the hay day of not only age gap, but marriages between co actors.

Dimple Kapadia was 16 when, Rajesh Khanna who was 31 and a well established superstar, married each other.

Divya Bharti also, was 18 when she married sajid nadiadwala who was a producer.

People got the concept of nepotism after 2017-18, but it became a nationwide topic in 2020 after Sushant's death. But you shouldn't forget that nepotism have existed since forever. Just like this, age gap was also a even more problematic issue in 80s , 90s.

Even during saif ali Khan's first marriage when he was 20, kareena kapoor had attended the function as she was 10. And in 2010 they started dating and married in 2012.

To say age is just a number, is a fallacy.

Even if two 16 years old individuals are marrying eachother, that's still acceptable than have a 35 year man marrying a 16 or 18 year old. Age matters.

Still, there are some exceptions like jay mehta and juhi chawla.

People today troll juhi for marrying a rich guy, as they don't understand that they actually had a pretty normal relationship before marriage and even after they married, jay mehta was okay with not announcing it as it could have affected juhi's career.

Considering the kind of roles he's played and movies he's choosen to act in, he definitely deserves more appreciation. Overshadowed by his contemporaries, this gentleman actor is one of those few underrated kannada actors with a limited fan base.
