There are so many famous things about Gwalior.

- Gwalior Fort (Hindi: ग्वालियर क़िला Gwalior Qila) is an 8th-century hill fort near Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, central India.
The fort consists of a defensive structure and two main palaces, Gujari Mahal and Man Mandir, built by Man Singh Tomar.
The fort has been controlled by a number of different rulers in its history. The Gujari Mahal palace was built for Queen Mrignayani.
It is now an archaeological museum.
The oldest record of "zero" in the world was found in a small temple, which is located on the way to the top. The inscription is around 1500 years old.
Now it has been changed to Bakhshali village near Peshawar few days ago.

- It also know as “ Tansen ki Nagri”.
Tansen (c. 1500 – 1586), also referred to as Tan Sen or Mian Tansen, was a prominent figure of North Indian (Hindustani) classical music.[3] Born in a Hindu family, he learnt and perfected his art in the northwest region of modern Madhya Pradesh.

- The Jai Vilas Mahal (Hindi: जय विलास महल), also known as the Jai Vilas Palace), is a nineteenth century palace in Gwalior, India. It was established in 1874 by Jayajirao Scindia, the Maharaja of Gwalior and is still the residence of his descendants the former royal Maratha Scindia dynasty.
This palace have two main attractions:

- Maharaj Bada or Jayaaji Chowk is one of the most significant place of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. Maharaj Bada, which is sometimes just called as Bada, is the central focus of Gwalior, with a large square, a former opera house, banks, tea, coffee and juice stands and a municipal market building.

- Baija Tal is a artificial Water body with a platform in the center built by the scindia kings after the name of Bijabai scindia, in front of the Moti mahal. it is also the place where Gwalior Heritage festival is organized.

- Tigra Dam (also spelled "Tighra Dam") creates a freshwater reservoir on the Sank River, about 23 km from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India[1] It plays a crucial role in supplying water to the city.

- Gurudwara Data Bandi Chod Sahib- One of the famous religious place for Sikh Community. It is associated with the imprisonment of Sikh Guru Har Gobind Sahib in Gwalior Fort and his celebrated release in which he managed to win the freedom of 52 Rajas (Kings) who had long suffered imprisonment in the Fort. The word "Bandi" means "imprisoned", "Chhor" means "release".

- The Scindia School is an Indian boarding school for boys, established in 1897, and situated in the historic Gwalior Fort, in the city of Gwalior. It was originally started exclusively for nobles and princes of Royal families, particularly the Marathas, though it no longer discriminates on class.

- Gwalior Trade Fair is a large trade fair in Madhya Pradesh, in Northern India. It was started in 1905 by king of Gwalior Maharaj Madhav Rao Scindia.
Covering 104 acres (0.42 km2) and divided into several 'blocks' and 'sectors', the Mela (mela is a Hindi word for fair) Ground at Race Course Road is known as the Pragati Maidan of Madhya Pradesh, India. The Gwalior Trade Fair Authority, an autonomous body, is now responsible for the whole administration of the Trade Fair.
- Educational Institutes:
- Jiwaji University, Estd. in - 1964 by Late Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, then President of India in 225 Acres of areas with numerous courses and meritorious students.Jiwalji University is NAAC Accredited A Grade University.
- Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education, Estd. in the year 1957 as a autonomous physical education college under Jiwaji University, later established as Deemed University in 2000 under Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports. Now 153 Acres fully residential campus is NAAC Accredited A++ Institution.
- Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya. The second agriculture university of the state Madhya Pradesh by bifurcating JNKVV, Jabalpur. The RVSKVV provides specialized education and research facilities in hoticulture, veterinary science & animal husbandry with 5 Zonal and 4 Specialized research centers under it.All the courses in the campus is accredited by ICAR - Indian Council of Agriculture Research.
- Raja Mansingh Tomar Music and Arts University, as we know Gwalior Gharana is the oldest of gharanas of music.The great musicians like Tansen and Baiju Bawra had their music education at sangeet Vidhyapeeth Gwalior opened by Raja Mansingh Tomar Estd. in 2008 with a aim for the advancement of cultural heritage of the country. The university started functioning with five Faculties of Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Theatre and Social Science with affiliation to nearly Ninety five institutions of Madhya Pradesh As a teaching cum residential university.
- Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, NAAC Accredited 'A' Grade Institute of National Importance. - Gajra Raja Medical College, The only medical college of the state whose 8 Alumni is awarded with Padma Shri for their contribution in the field of medical sciences.
