What are some mind-blowing facts about exercise, fitness and working out?

A lot of people often mistaken Fitness with losing weight and becoming skinny. Infact no one is looking for fitness, everyone is watching videos and reading articles with striking titles like Drop three sizes in 20 days!”, “How to lose 5 kgs in a week without exercise”, “7 days challenge to lose belly fat”.

You certainly can do it. Infact people are doing it. They are consuming hardly 500 calories straight for a week and they end up easily losing 2–3 kgs of weight. But the question here is, Is this making you any fitter? No! Rather it's deteriorating your health to a very very great extent.

Rapid weight loss (which is done deliberately), especially through starvation techniques can lead to a number of side effects like:

  • Constipation
  • Headache
  • Low Energy, Fatigue, Dizziness
  • Muscle Cramps
  • Menstrual irregularities
  • Hair loss

On a broader picture, healthy, sustainable way to stay fit is: better food choices, more sleep, increased physical activity, reduced stress, and focus on mental wellbeing.

Now coming back to the question, when we do physical activities and regular exercises and try to be fit we end up helping our body with:

  • Improved Respiratory System
  • Improved Cardiovascular Health
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Reduced risk of type 2 diabetes
  • Reduced risk of Cancer
  • Reduced risk of heart disease
  • Controller Blood Pressure
  • Makes you healthier emotionally
  • You age well
  • Lastly, you look better and fit. *_*

Let's see how fitness helps you.

  • We all know Shipa Shetty's proclivity towards Yoga.
  • It's not hidden from anyone that Matthew Perry has had a hard time dealing with drugs throughout his life and now we know the after effects.
  • Akshay Kumar is known for his strict fitness routine.
  • Hrithik Roshan, Sexiest Asian Male 2019.
  • Hema Malini is often seen performing Bharatnatyam Dance at events, she is very active and has mentioned a number of times that cycling is a part of her fitness routine, at this age.

PS: It's not about looks, it's all about your body and brain. We need to keep both of these fit and fine.

Through these pictures I am trying to manifest that if we follow a perfect fitness regime we'll end up having a better life physically as well mentally. Also, we will age well and can have better body (which is the only and ultimate goal of a large number of people).
