Dimple Kapadia and Amitabh Bachchan were the lead pair in Shashi Kapoor & Gennady Vasilyev directed film Ajooba.
This was the first time they were paired together. Ajooba is a fantasy film about a masked prince who returns to his fantasy homeland to fight an evil ruler, save his family and restore justice to the kingdom.
Dimple was also seen with Amitabh in Mrityudaata. Amitabh had gone completely bankrupt at that time and Mrityudaata too bombed at the box-office. At that time Dimple repeatedly called and sent her secretary to Amitabh's office and home to demand her pending acting fees.
After more than a decade, Amitabh and Dimple Kapadia were again seen together in Hum Kaun Hai.
The film is a supernatural mystery thriller about spooky and mysterious events happening in a house. Dimple was also seen in Bramhastra-1 where she gives a blink-and-you-miss sort of appearance.
The two were also supposed to be paired in Manmohan Desai’s “Mard” which Dimple Kapadia refused due to disagreements over expected remenuration and chose to do Paatal Bhairavi instead.
Years later she called herself crazy and stupid to do Paatal Bhairavi just for the sake of money and miss out on Mard.
