Is buttermilk (chasch) bad for our health?


Butter milk or chaach is actually not unhealthy. It is actually one of the healthiest beverages

to the greatest number of people. Such products as chaas are prepared by dissolving curd in

water and adding spices such as jeera which make it very relaxing and easy to digest.

Chaach is scientifically proven to be composed of probiotics to make sure your gut remains

well. These probiotics enhance digestion, lower gas and maintain acidity. This is the reason

why multiple people take chaach after heavy meals.

Chaach is also low in fat content and calories. It maintains the body fluids during hot

weather, it contains richness of calcium, vitamins, and electrolytes and helps in building of

bones and energy.

But in other individuals Chaach can bring about some minor troubles. A lactose intolerant

individual will experience a bloating or discomfort effect and a cold sore person will

experience congestion being made worse by the chilled chaas. These are exceptional

cases, worth mentioning.

For healthy people, Chaach is more advantageous than milk after meals. It is used to clean

the digestive system, prevent constipation and metabolism.

So chaas is not bad, it is a natural and simple beverage, which is science-backed and it is

quite familiar to the body. All you have to do is to ensure that it is fresh, not very cold, and

not high in salt.
