How was Mohammad Rafi as a person?

 

• Simple: Mohammad Rafi was a very simple soul ;who never forgot his roots and simplicity. He was among very few singers ;who never misused his celebrity status .He always treated all with genuine love and care.

• No wonder, when he passed away ; his burial ground (above) was crowded with his admirers.

• God gifted: Musicologists always wonder over natural talent of Rafi; who spoke with strong Punjabi accent in normal life; but sang like a great classical or modern singer.

• Naïve: Music critics believe that Rafi was often taken for a ride by his loved ones. As a result, he got embroiled in unnecessary controversies (For e.g. he had a famous spat with Lata Mangeshkar over royalty of songs)
