What do you think of filmmaker Vikram Bhatt's films?

 Vikram Bhatt’s filmmaking journey

  1. Used his film contacts (being the son of Ace cinematographer Pravin Bhatt and grandson of Veteran filmmaker Vijay Bhatt)
  2. Watched Hollywood movies
  3. Copied them shamelessly scene by scene
  4. Added songs to it to make them look like Bollywood films
  5. Got Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt to produce your films (people will assume Vikram is a relative of them because of the surname but no they are not related)
  6. deliver flops after flops and yet make one film every year. One of the best film records as a director with 7 successful films out of 36. Great record!!

Vikram Bhatt's has made everything from Romantic films (Jaanam, Madhosh, Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage), Thrillers (Fareb, Kasoor, Inteha, Jurm), Horror( Raaz, Shaapit, 1920, Haunted) and Comedies (Aawara Pagal Deewana, Diwane hue Pagal). As a filmmaker he is highly inconsistent. He has made some decent to Good films like Ghulam (which was partially directed by Mahesh Bhatt), Raaz, APD, Deewane Hue pagal, 1920 etc. But most of his films are crap. Also his films are hardly original. He has not delivered a hit since a decade.

One good thing is that his films have good music consistently. But despite having 36 films and a 3 decade long career he is hardly known as a worthwhile filmmaker to reckon with. And with the recent controversy his career is over by all prospects.
