If you hand is cut or amputated, you will feel a fake/ghost hand there.
This is called “Phantom limb”.
People who have undergone amputation often report that they can still feel the missing part of their hands ( or the body part which is amputated, even penis), as if it were still there. They also experience sensations such as itching or even pain in a the amputated part.
Such experiences show how reality is constructed by the brain and is different from what it actually is.
