I thought I was sufficiently aware of the worst of poverty. But recently I came across how deceased people are moved from villages to morgues in some remote areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since they cannot afford to rent a hearse to take the body (the morgue is located far from the village), people decide to wrap it with cloth and then sit it behind a motorcyclist, so the motorcyclist takes it to the morgue to keep it there. This trip can take 10 hours in some cases if the village is very far from the city.
That is another sad face of poverty in rural areas of the world.
