Fun Fact : India has emerged victorious the first time they have qualified for the world cup (1983, 2007) if India isn't jinxed they can repeat this feat in the Test Championship as well.
- Most ODIs for a player in a calendar year
India played a whopping 43 ODI matches in 1999. But Rahul Dravid was the only player who didn't miss a single match. Thus, ended up holding a record for featuring in most ODIs in a calendar year!
- Double hundred in every decade
This one is probably a known fact, but almost goes under the radar. The reason why Sachin Tendulkar is called God is probably because of his undying class and form. Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman in world cricket to have hit 3 double hundred in three different decades.

Infact, his average has been above 50 in tests i.e 58.3, 58.7, 50 in each decade.

- Most successful in Tests
Rangana Herath with 433 wickets is the most successful left handed bowler in tests.
- Most success in ODIs
Wasim Akram who comes second to Herath in tests is the one leading in ODIs with 502 wickets.
Apparently, Wasim Akram is the most successful left handed bowler in international cricket with 935 wickets to his name!
- Double hundred in century test
Joe Root became the first player to have hit a double hundred on his centenary test match when playing against India in the first test in Chennai.
