Many people still firmly believe that the ancient Egyptians were black.
But her skin tone ranged from olive to bronze.
There was an uproar on TikTok where several black Americans condemned the reconstructions, claiming it was all false and Egyptians were black.
They were angry with Egyptians who pointed out to them: "Do not try to take possession of our heritage. I am Egyptian. We're not all black."
In some parts of the Western world, their children have been misled by a messed up education system.
Especially those who have black slaves in their family history.
The descendants of these slaves went to great lengths to pick out the best parts of history.
But that's not how it works.
Of course, I understand both sides.
One tries to tell the world, "This is what we really looked like."
And the other - after having been enslaved for so long - grasps at every straw.
But Gal Gadot doesn't just have Middle Eastern roots.
In fact, she is the best choice for the role.
Because she comes from the region and probably understands the culture better than all the people who are against it.
Admittedly, there are many other oriental-looking actresses - but do they know how to move well in the water?
Or does Gal Gadot perhaps even fit better into the role because she lives in Egypt's neighboring country?
My only question:
Will Rami Malek also be in this film?
