Aditya Pancholi was never particularly a successful actor. Surprisingly he has worked in more than 100 films but you won't even remember 10 because most of them are utterly forgettable. Even his known films have been moderate hits and he has not been part of any Blockbuster film in 80’s or 90’s.
His most popular movies are- Saathi (perhaps his only major hit as the main lead), Aatish (moderately successful but acclaimed particularly for the chemistry between Sanjay Dutt and Aditya), Mahasangram (film was not successful but Aditya Pancholi received a lot of acclaim for his performance even in a multi starter setup), Yes Boss (his last hit before his career tumbled down, and the beginning of his negative roles), Ravan Raj (one of the films of Mithun Ooty factory but a good one), Tahalka (very campy film but a big hit), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (even though the film had Jackie Shroff and Aditya Pancholi the film was all about Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor).
Frankly speaking Aditya Pancholi was known for his controversies and affairs more than his films and performances. He was embroided in many affairs even after getting married to Zarina Wahab who was much older than him. Important affairs of Aditya Pancholi included Pooja Bedi and Kangana Ranaut.
At one point he also started his own production house named AMA production (A meant Aditya, M Mandakini and A Ajit Devani). Mandakini however blamed Aditya Pancholi for misappropriation of he funds and making the film Naamcheen without her and without her knowledge. Eventually the film failed. He has a long history of fights, scandals and controversies (the Kangana controversy as well) and his son Sooraj Pancholi was also an accused in the Jia su**ide case.
