This whole incident is mentioned in Sundarkand and such beautiful discussions between Maa Sita and Hanuman Ji makes it actually “Sundar”.
During Hanuman ji meeting with Maa Sita in Ashok Vatika,
Maa Sita asked: Son, How did you reach Lanka ?
Hanuman ji Replied: By God Grace of Lord Ram, your son has potential to fly and with same the same power, i have crossed sea to reach Lanka. And, Mata i have seen how you are tortured in Lanka. Maa please come with me, i will take you safely to Shri Ram.
Maa Sita replied: Son, I have full faith in your capabilities but because of two major reason I will not come with you.
First, I am pativarta so I will never touch other man with my own wish, Ravan touched me forcefully and now he will get punishment of the same.
Second, we are suryavanshi and if I come with you my son then people will raise fingers towards Rama and his reputation will be on stake, people will think that he could not protect me from Ravan. And, I don't want that because of me people raise finger towards Shri Ram. Son, i can not come with you but you take my jewelary to show this to Shri Ram and tell him that i am waiting for him.
Such beautiful conversations makes Sundarkand very very special.
