But first, I think,

The question should be like who is more Successful ?

Not who is better?

because Sridevi was literally better actor than Madhuri Dixit.

it clearly shows in the movies.there is no need for explanation

She had far better expressions, dialogue delivery and character sinkings.

Not only Madhuri, No one can act like her.

No actress is upto her acting prowess…

The spectrum was damn high.

Madhuri Dixit has not any successful female lead movie so far And Sridevi gave back to back this kind of movies in late 80’s…..And even she came back again with a female lead movie….English Vinglish. almost all movies of Madhuri Dixit are typical masala movies.she also gave Female centric movies but unfortunately None became Successful. ( Mritydand ,Ghajghamini,Lajja ,Aaja Nachle, Gulab Gang .all were flops ). In other words, Madhuri couldn't take up a movie on her shoulders ever without a male actor support.. SRIDEVI made it too easily. She gave fully female centric movies where in…Male actors were like a small pricks. The whole movie was all about Sridevi.
2. SRIDEVI was completely The Hero of decade 80’s…..She was usually charged more than male stars that time. dozens of movies, she was paid more. that's why she was called Lady Amitabh this time.
3. Sridevi has worked 300 wherein around 75% movies are successful Madhuri has worked in 84 movies in which 45 % movies are Successful. Madhuri has more number of flop movies.however Madhuri has an all time blockbster named Hahk which was declared as one of the highest grossing movies ever made in Bollywood and highest grossing movie of the decade of 90s. But God doesn't give everything to anyone. We often talk about Sridevi’s hindi movie career only. If we look up her whole career then the debate Sridevi-Madhuri will end up quickly.

Why do some people think Sridevi is overrated when she's considered one of the greatest actors of her time?

She is Goddess of Acting and acted in Hi ndi,Tamil,Malayalam,Kannada and Telegu movies. She has given iconic d ance in Nagina,Chandini and Mr India. She dressed up as Charlie Chaplin in Mr India.She was playback singer in S adma,Chandini,Kshana Kshanam and Garjana.She has also performed a div ine classic dance for Durga Sukhtam i n a temple.She is a perfect dancer too. Sridevi has given mesmerising perform ance in Sadma,by portraying the role of Nehalata a young woman who meets a car accident and suffers retrograde am nesia, losing all memory of her adult li fe.She transforms into a small child (6-7 yrs).Nehlata was kidna pped and sold into a Brothel.She come s in the eyes o f a teacher Somu ( Kamalahassan) wh o rescues and takes her home.Somu gi ves her love and care.Once her memor y comes back and comes to adult form The ending of Sadma is v ery tragic.Sri devi has potrayed as a s mall child as well as an Adult. To which goddess does Sri Chakra belong? Is it Sridevi Mahalakshmi (Vishnupatni) or Lalita Tripurasundari (Shivpatni)?

 The Adhiṣṭhātrī Devī of Śrī Cakra is Devī Mahālakşmi. She is Kāmeśvara Maheśvarī, Supreme Consort of Kāmeśvara Śiva. She is the empress of Maṇidvīpa. She is Mahātripurā Sundarī Lalitā.

The Brahmāṇḍa Mahāpurāṇa, which sings the glory of Parāśakti Lalitā, clearly states that Śrī Cakra is her Yantra.

मन्त्रं श्रीचक्रगेवास्याः सेयं हि त्रिपुरांबिका ।
सैषैव हि महालक्ष्मीः स्फुरच्चैवात्मनः पुरा ॥ ३ ॥

3. Śrī Cakra alone is her Mantra (Yantra). She is Tripurāmbikā and she is Mahālakṣmī herself. Formerly, the Cakra was seen coming out of Ātman throbbing and sparkling.

One of the Śākta Āgamas, the Vāmakeśvara Tantra, thoroughly explains the worship of the Śrī Cakra. It enumerates the nine Āvaraṇas, lists the Devīs in each Āvaraṇa (Āvaraṇa Devatās), the Cakreśvarī of each Āvaraṇa, meditation on the Bindu of the Cakra, and other details concerning the Śrī Cakra, Mudrās, and Śrī Vidyā. And Vāmakeśvara Tantra says at the Bindu resides Śrī Mahābhaṭṭārike Parāpara Rahasya Yoginī Lalitāmbikā and she move within Śrī Cakra.

त्वां गौरीं त्रिपुरां परात्परकलां श्रीचक्रसञ्चारिणीम्

You are Gaurī, Tripurā, the supreme transcendental energy, who moves within the Śrī Cakra.

In the Tripurā Rahasya, Devī herself affirms that the Yantra representing her is the Śrī Cakra.

While commenting on the name “Śrī Cakra Rājanilayā”, Śrī Bhāskararāya Makhin in his Lalitā Sahasranāma Bhāṣya mentions that Śiva and Devī reside in Śrī Cakra.

श्रीचक्रराजं बिन्दुत्रिकोणादिरूपं निलयो वासस्थानं यस्याः। तदुक्तं'श्रीचक्रं शिवयोर्वपु'रिति। शरीरे यथा जीवस्याव स्थानं तथा श्रीचक्रे शिवयोरिति तदर्थः ।

Śrī Cakra, consisting of Bindu, triangle, etc. It is said, "Śrī Cakra is the body of Śiva and Devī." The meaning is just as the Jiva resides in the body so they reside in the Śrī Cakra.

Note: The Cakra or Yantrā of Devī Lakṣmī is the Lakṣmī Yantrā, which is also known as the Śrī Yantrā since another name for Devī Lakṣmī is Śrī. However, this does not make her the Adhiṣṭhātrī Devī of the Śrī Cakra Rāja. Devī Lakṣmī resides in the Lakṣmī Yantrā, and the methods of worshipping her Yantrā, including the Āvaraṇa Devatās, Dhyāna, and Nyāsa, are entirely different.
