What are some interesting facts about the geography of the United States?

 Here are some interesting facts about the geography and organization of the United States that you probably don't know.

  • New York City buildings have their own zip codes. Manhattan is so large that it has 200 zip codes, and more than 40 buildings have one.
  • You can walk from Alaska to Russia. In winter, the Bering Strait connecting Alaska and Russia freezes over, making it possible to cross on foot.
  • California is more populous than Canada. Not by a hair: Canada has 36.7 million people, while California alone has 39.5 million.
  • The gigantic Mississippi River. At 3,779 km long, it is the longest river in America and the fourth longest in the world. On average, a drop of water takes about 90 days to cross its entire length.
  • The tiny Roe River. In the United States, it is the second shortest river in the world, at 61 meters. It is beaten only by the Reprua River in Georgia.
  • The tallest mountain in the world. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain measured above sea level. If we include its submerged elevation, the tallest in the world is located in Hawaii and is called Mauna Kea, at 10,211 meters.
  • The United States has a quadruple border. At a point called the Four Corners , four different states meet: Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.
  • Texas is huge. If the entire world's population lived at the same density as New York City, it would fit almost exactly into the state of Texas alone.

Who is the best actress in the United States?

 The 2026 best actress in Hollywood is also known as ‘the female equivalent of John Wick’, she was nominated for an Oscar for her performance as Marilyn Monroe in ‘Blonde’, she played Paloma, the extremely capable and deadly CIA agent in the 007 Bond Movie ‘No Time to Die’, where she enthralling captured 10 minutes of the film.

She is Ana De Armas, she earned a Golden Globe Nomination for ‘Blonde’ with People magazine praising her performance as “pure acting”. Her notoriety reached an even more pronounced level by her recently winning of the 2025 ‘Action Star of the Year Award’ at CinemaConn.

She has quite a resume in action films where she has a reputation for her engaging work ethic when preparing for these roles. Ana is especially known for her combat prowness and for the use of her physicality to captivate audiences.

Her preparation for ‘From the World of John Wick: Ballerina’, was intense, to say the least, she performed the vast majority of her own stunts, and her preparation for the part included practicing Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at, what was known as "the assassin boot camp" where she specialized in "Central Axis Relock" (CAR) tactical gun training.

She has also portrayed other notable roles beyond the action/adventure genre where she stood out for her acting prowess these films include: ‘Knives Out’ ‘Ghosted’, ‘The Grey Man’ and ‘Blade Runner 2049’.

On top of all this she was very recently named: ‘The Most Beautiful Actress of 2025’ by ‘Ranked’, out placing the likes of Emily Blunt, Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johanson. Ana De Armas is in our present moment… ‘Best actress in Hollywood’.
