The passage of these giants in the middle of the coasts of the North Sea.
In the photo a mammoth iceberg almost 50 meters high passing near the Canadian village of Ferryland (province of Newfoundland and Labrador). That area of the Atlantic Ocean is known as Iceberg Alley , precisely because of the passage of these beasts .
About 600 km off Ferryland , one of them struck and sank a famous ocean liner on its maiden voyage on 15 April 1912. The name need not be specified.
