Who is the god Aditi, whom was mentioned in the Veda?

 Aditi is Bhu Devi and the wife of Vishnu in vedas .

  • “for Aditi is this Earth.”

In Taittariya samitha 4.4.12.5 she is referred as the wife of Vishnu

  • ध्रुवा दिशां विष्णुपत्न्यघोरास्येशाना सहसो या मनोता ।
  • बृहस्पतिर्मातरिश्वोता वायुः सन्धुवाना वाताः अभि नो गृणन्तु ॥
  • “The steadfast one of the quarters, the wife of Viṣṇu, non-terrifying, mistress of the power, she who disposes may Bṛhaspati, Mātariśvan, and Vāyu, the winds joining/whistling together, speak favorably toward us.”
  • विष्टम्भो दिवो धरुणः पृथिव्या अस्येशाना जगतो विष्णुपत्नी ।
  • विश्वव्यचा इषयन्ती सुभूतिः शिवा नोऽस्त्वदितिरुपस्थे ॥
  • “The support of heaven, the foundation of earth, mistress of this universe, Viṣṇu's wife; all-pervading, impelling, well-being—may Aditi, auspicious, be for us in her lap/presence.”
