Then Ajith her boyfriend whom she introduced to multiple directors and producers during her peak (1993–1995) even getting him his big break in Aasai - dumped her without a seconds notice
Mic Mohan was another
Naive and Innocent - he suffered from an Autoimmune Disease for which treatment in 1989 was available only in Germany
This led to a published story about HOW A ROMANTIC HERO had AIDS
Back then AIDS was seen as terrifying and many believed it was spread by germs or touch
So Mohan was openly boycotted for a long time
By the time he could prove the allegations were false, too much time had passed and he was no longer attractive as a hero
Devayani jumped the fence at 4 AM and escaped to get married with Rajakumaran 😁
This led to all her shoots cancelled after marriage and over 13 films lost
She was stuck doing supporting roles as wife of Jayaram in Paarai and Prakash Raj in Giri and in a scene with Kamal in Panchathintaram (Hilarious though)
NSK and MK Thyaraja Bhagavathar both got mixed up in an infamous muder case and spent 5–6 years in courts before they were ultimately acquitted (Or sentence was revoked on appeal - Lakshmikantan murder case i think)
Once the biggest names in business - they were completely boycotted and ended up virtually broke
