Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan (1888-1975) was known for his profound philosophical lectures.
Philosopher : This Indian scholar was a renowned philosopher.
He taught philosophy at the Universities of Oxford , Calcutta , Madras and Banaras
Academician : He also served as the Vice Chancellor of University of Andhra, Banaras. Hindu University and as the chancellor of University of Delhi.
Orator : He was a brillant orator and spoke in depth on ancient Indian texts and western literature.
No wonder, his lectures were well attended by who’s of Indian and international elite.
Language : He retained his Indian accent and spoke naturally without pretense.
Traditional : He served as a professor for 16 years in University of Oxford and later UNESCO.
But, he remained vegetarian , a teetotaler , non smoker all his life.
President : He served as President of India between 1962–1967.
He was also the first Vice President of India serving for 1962 -1962.
Laurels : His wisdom earned him a knighthood in 1931.
Interestingly, he held more than 100 honorary doctorates.
Fact : Well, only well read and seasoned human beings speak in the right manner.
