What are some interesting facts about Kajol?

 1. Kajol has never slipped into bikini for a movie or commercial purposes. All she did was monokini and towel photoshoots.

2. Kajol is one of the four Bollywood celebrities whose miniature doll is in Harrods (London).

3. Kajol holds the record for most Best Actress wins at Filmfare Awards. She won this award five times. In addition to that, she has received a record eleven nominations at the same event.

4. Kajol was the first actress to win a Filmfare for a negative role. Her role in the film Gupt earned her the award.

5. Kajol is also a recipient of Padma Shri award. She won this award way back in 2011.

6. Kajol is an enthusiastic social activist and has been noted for her work. She is the ambassador of Loomba Trust, which promotes welfare of widows and children all over the world. For her philanthropic work, she was awarded with the Karmaveer Puraskaar in 2008.

7. Kajol can be called as an epitome of Bollywood mania, owing to her relations which involves the industry. Her mother Tanuja is an actress while her father Shomu Mukherjee was a film producer. Apart from her sister Tanishaa being an actress, her maternal aunt was the famous actress Nutan. Her paternal uncles Joy Mukherjee and Deb Mukherjee are established film producers. Her famous cousin is the evergreen Bollywood diva Rani Mukerji.

What is Kajol’s superhit first film in the Bollywood industry?

 Kajol made her debut at the age of seventeen. Her first film was Bekhudi which released in the year 1992. The film bombed at the box office but Kajol was noticed.

People term Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge as her first hit. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is an all time blockbuster. Basically Kajol’s first super hit film is Baazigar which released in 1993.

The film was a commercial hit along with chartbuster music. This was the first time that Kajol and Shahrukh Khan were seen together in a film. Later the pair delivered several hit films for the next two decades.

What are the qualifications of Kajol?

 Kajol being a starkid, being a daughter of veteran actress Tanuja and filmmaker the late Shomu Mukherjee, had received much scope to become an actress but not to complete her studies.

At a very young age of 16 years, when she was still studying in school she got opportunity to work in the film Bekhudi which was released in 1992. Then she quit her studies and she received wider recognition and success with the film Baazigar which was released in 1993.

After Baazigar she never looked back in her career and gave hit films one after the other such as Yeh Dillagi in 1994, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in 1995, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998, Gupt in 1997 and Dushman in 1998. In 1999 she got married with Ajay Devgn but her successful journey continued throughout 2000s.

When we refer to her education, she studied at St. Joseph's Convent school, Juhu, Mumbai. When she was in school, she liked to participate in extra curricular activities like dancing. Being a school girl she was interested to read fiction stories as it helped her ‘through the bad moments' of her life.

Infact she was interested to continue her studies after the shooting of her debut film Bekhudi but finally she had decided to drop studies to make a full time career in the film industry when she received further good opportunities to act in the films. Later she regretted upon her decision to quit her studies.

She also enrolled at DG Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mumbai but she couldn't continue her studies due to her filmy commitments.

Anyhow Kajol made a big name in the Bollywood, she is considered as one among the most successful actresses. She is known for her realistic strong performances and her good comedy roles. She received numerous awards including 7 Filmfare Awards and in 2011 she became the recipient of Padma Shri.

Kajol follows both the cultures of Maharastrain and Bengali as her mother is a Maharastrain and her father, a Bengali. When she was young, her parents got seperated but it didn't affect her because the matter was never discussed at home and she was looked after by her maternal grandmother. Kajol once stated that her mother Tanuja inculcated a sense of independence since she was young. She referred herself as stubbornmischievous and impulsive at a young age.

So, Kajol is not having big qualifications in education but professionally as an actress she achieved something great. She has fluency in English, Hindi, Marathi and Bengali.
