Before we get into answering questions about Maa Kamakhya, let's talk about the temple itself first.
š»The Kamakhya Temple is believed to have originated when the yoni of Goddess Sati fell in the Kamarupa region. Lord Shiva is enshrined here as Uma-Nanda Bhairava. Among all the Shakti Peethas across India, Kamakhya is considered the most sacred.
š»At the Kamakhya Peeth, the Yoni Mandala of the Divine Mother is enshrined. This sacred space, the Yoni, is the source of creation, from which all of us and the entire universe originate.
š»This is the sacred place where the ten Mahavidyas and Bhairava, along with their families, reside. This is the very source of power that is capable of giving birth to the entire universe.
š»In one place, Lord Shiva himself says…
š“Oh Naganandini! Listen! Brahma, the creator, sustainer, and destroyer, and all the gods like Rudra, are born from this very womb. If a devotee of Shakti does not worship the Vidya they are initiated into in front of this Yoni Peeth, then mantras and worship become the cause of their descent into hell."
š“Oh Goddess! It is because of your Yoni, your power, that I constantly contemplate you and worship you in the lotus of my heart. You reside in my heart with divine and heroic emotions. Oh Durga! Liberation is effortlessly in your grasp. The person who worships the Yoni-Peeth, the Shakti Peeth, through the mantra of power, is blessed. Such a person is a poet, wise, and worshipped by gods and demons.
šThe yoni is a symbol of feminine energy and creation. Without it, the very structure of existence would be impossible. Ten Mahavidyas reside around the yoni-mandala, making it the most protected area of the body. Divine forces, including Lord Vishnu, are constantly vigilant in its protection because it is the source of all creation.
šKamakhya means the explanation of desire. She who explains desire, who authenticates it, who gives clear messages about it, is Kamakhya. One who does not know desire, the secret of the womb, is ignorant, and such a person is called desireless, a symbol of a lack of creation.
š»MAA KAMAKHYA (yoni peetha nivasini)
š»The term "Kamakhya" is a universal truth, regarded as the Brahmayoni, which is the root of all creations in the entire universe and all jeevas.

š»Kamakhya is a great goddess who takes the form of the yoni (yoni rupa), grants blessings, bestows happiness, is eternal, and increases great prosperity. She is said to be the mother of all and the savior of all.
š»Without Kamakhya, no power can grant fulfillment anywhere. Kamakhya is eternal dharma, Kamakhya is wealth, Kamakhya is desire, and Kamakhya is liberation. O Devi, she is Nirvana, she is Sayujya (mukti). Kamakhya is Salokya, Sarupya mukti, and the ultimate destination. O Devi, she is revered by Brahma and others, as well as Chandra and Vishnu.

According to the Kamakhya Tantra, Kali is Kamakhya.
š»Without Kamakhya, there is nothing in these three worlds. The Tantras speak of a hundred trillion Mahavidyas. O Devi, Shodashi is said to be the essence of them all. O Devi, Jagadamba Kali is the cause of even that. Just as the moon's light rises and fades, so too, whatever is eternal or impermanent, stationary or moving, neither arises nor fades without her (Kamakhya). This is the truth.

š»Among all the body parts of Bhagwati, the vaginal part is the best; Because she is present in all women in the form of goddess vagina. At the place where that vagina fell, Bhagwati Sati herself is enshrined.
