1. He was eldest son of Maharana Udai Singh II and Grandson of Rana Sanga.
2. Rana Pratap was also called as Keeka by the Tribal bhil community as he grew up with them also.
3. He was born in the fort of Kumbhalgarh which has second largest wall in the world.
4. His father Maharana Udai Singh in his last hours had proclaimed his younger step brother Jagmal singh as his successor under the influence of his favourite queen Bhatiyani. But nobles of mewar turned the tables and dethroned jagmal and Coronated Pratap as Maharana of mewar.
5. He was 28 years old when seige of chittor happened and fort fell.
6. Maharana Pratap's Coronation Happened twice first in gogunda and then another in Udaipur Also.
7. Maharana Pratap took the famous oath of Forsaking all personal luxurious till he frees all parts of Mewar from Mughal control.
8. Maharana Pratap Didnt actually Lose Haldighati battle. He managed to stalemate it and Mughal army was forced to back off. Maharana had already destoyed the farms and all food supplies to region and maan singh had to ultimately withdraw and he was banished from court by Akbar for failure.
9. In Battle of Diwer in 1582 Maharana Pratap and His army routed all Mughal outposts in mewar and decimated mughals.

 During the Battle of Haldightai where Maharana Pratap’s outnumbered army was clashing with Jihadis and their collaborators, we all know that Maharanaji dashed across the battlefield and attacked the elephant of traitor Man Singh.

His spear tore the mahout and went straight through to Man Singh who ducked and his shoulder was injured. In fear Man Singh laid down pretending to be dead. Maharanaji thought the coward was dead but he was surrounded by jihadi forces.

Chetak was injured and Maharana himself was bleeding after 4 hours fighting. But he cut down jihadis one after another. A jihadi Behlol Khan thought that he could kill injured Maharana and present his head to Jalaludin Muhammed.

He charged but within a minute, Maharana Pratap strikes such a blow that his sword neatly cut both the jihadi and his horse in two pieces.

Jalaludin’s mercenaries were stricken with fear looking at the raw power and aggression of Maharanaji and Hindu forces were filled with new motivation.
