What are some amazing facts about pi (π)?

  • In the 20th and 21st centuries, mathematicians and computer scientists extended the decimal representation of πto, as of 2015, over 13.3 trillion (1013) digits.

  • Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day date format) - and it is Einsteins birthday.

  • The Feynman point is a sequence of six 9s that begins at the 762nd decimal place of the decimal representation of π. It is named after physicist Richard Feynman, who once stated during a lecture he would like tomemorize the digits of π until that point, so he could recite them and quip "nine nine nine nine nine nine and so on".

  • And last but not least:
    If a Pizza has a radius = z and a height = a the it's volume is:
    Pi * z * z * a = Pizza
