What has your country done for you in helping you become India's brightest engineering Graduate?

The Answer : ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Your parents had to stand in long queues for your admission

They had to pay exorbitant fees to private schools , including exam fees, laboratory fees and expensive coaching classes

Meanwhile

Your Country, Your State - they do SQUAT for you

They maintain SUB STANDARD Government Schools , keep teachers less trained and Actually own many of the private schools where your parents pay through the nose for the privilege of educating you

What does your Country offer you to pioneer research and science?

The Answer is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EXCEPT FOR A SALARY

When the Top man of the organization that conducted the successful Chandrayaan mission , credits its success first to a Half Educated Gentleman of Dubious Academic Credentials who couldn't spell Space without a Teleprompter

You know THINGS AINT RIGHT

In other countries - the Biggest Leader THANKS the Scientists for their contributions

What has your Country ever done for you to mark you out as someone talented?

Absolutely SQUAT

In countries like China - A Government Scientist gets RESPECT by the Police on showing his Identification

In India - ₹10,000 Carries more respect

Do you get help if you have some very rare disease that needs crores of rupees in treatment?

Nopes

Can you be assured of Justice in your country's courts or by the Law Enforcement

Nopes

Instead you see Youngsters whose IQ can be measured in double digits , who in China would be scoffed if they apply for the job of a Barista , rolling in money , worth hundreds to thousands of crores of rupees and running roughshod over the rest of the nation

While you are ignored almost entirely

So what would you do if you had the slightest chance to escape this country?

You would flee without a seconds hesitation would you not?

Imagine Don here offers you a Citizenship for every Indian who insults India for 20 straight minutes

Every H1B Holder would stand in a queue and prepare insults without exception

At the end of the day - India isn't worth doing anything for.

If you have the ability and luck , you move out as quickly as possible and bend the knee before another , fairer, boss

If you don't - You do the best you can but always knowing you have a raw deal at the end of the day

Some of course are Philosophers who shrug their shoulders , say Karma and GET ON WITH THEIR JOB

In each case their loyalty is entirely to themselves and their families and Rightly so

India has done nothing to think otherwise for any of them

So unless Ambani Junior had any talent except jumping around at cricket matches or paying exorbitant sums to PHOREIN STARS to be seen in their midst

We will be seeing a whole lot more of Tejas 2.0 and 3.0 and 4.0 and a lot more of ISRO Sivans in the future 😁

Wth is going on in ISRO

 130 Scientists put in their papers at ISRO between February and June 2026

80 of them taking Voluntary Retirement at the age of 45–50 years , the other 50 openly leaving

Leaving where?

USA? Europe? Japan? China? Russia?

Naah

They are LEAVING TO JOIN THE PRIVATE AEROSPACE SECTOR INDIA!!

It is simply ROBBING PETER TO PAY PAUL

An Academic Ponzi Scheme at the end of the day

As a Private Aerospace Industry you

• Offer mass Scholarships - ❌
• Invest heavily into Aerospace Engineering - ❌
• Build a trainee workforce from University - ❌
• Poach Scientists from Government Organizations offering them higher pay - ✅

How does this benefit India or anyone at the end of the day?

They are not the most brilliant of scientists

Sure in the 1980s - the best of the crop joined ISRO,BARC or HAL

Today?

Most of the best minds - they are in foreign countries

The Scientists in ISRO are decent , some of them maybe even on the fringes of good

They may score a 50% to 60% in Scientific ability and analytical ability

Yet they are certainly incapable of pioneering major material science or engineering breakthroughs

You need Brilliant Scientists and Engineers for that

You need Brilliant Physicists for that

That means TALENT RETENTION

That means TALENT NURTURING

That means TALENT CREATION

China has a Private Aerospace Sector that is presently 28 times larger than Indias

(221 Billion CNY vs ₹ 24,000 Crore)

Yet none of these companies POACH employees from State Owned Aerospace Corporations

They recruit from

• Universities
• Training Programs offered exclusively for them by PLAAF
• Overseas Universities especially Kazakhstan, Egypt, Russia, Pakistan & Tajikistan by offering major Scholarships
• Professors in Universities by offering them 3–5–10 yr consultancy contracts

They build a workforce over time

Just like they built a workforce for Semiconductors or AI or Robotics or EVs or Renewable Energy

Millions of Quiet Workers talented and capable , working on complex physics problems to change the world

Not hiring tired 40–50 yr olds from Govt of India organizations to revolutionize Aerospace in India 😁

It is possibly the STUPIDEST IDEA yet

As usual - the Sector will see an Adani , Ambani and Tata take charge

Bungle up somewhere as usual

Like Drishti Drones - Knockoffs on Hermes Platforms built by Adani that seems to crash more than ply across ocean surfaces

Plus Hermes itself has been ripped to pieces by the barely standing Iranian Air Defenses

These Aunties here did well for Mangalyaan and they can handle derivative operations based on blueprint orders

They aren't strategic team leaders who can formulate long term design and manufacturing plans

They can't pioneer programs for God's sake

That needs HARD CORE GROUND LEVEL TALENT , not older scientists

If i want an AI workforce - i recruit 15–25 yr olds who are experts in Statistics, Data Science, Interface Development, Data Structures, Computer Organization, Algorithms

I don't go to Infosys and recruit 35–40 year olds whose expertise was in archaic coding that has little to no meaning in today's modern tech world of clouds and horizonal technology

Indian Astronauts

 

1. Rakesh Sharma

Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, is a former Indian Air Force pilot who flew aboard Soyuz T-11 on 3 April 1984 as part of the Soviet Interkosmos programme. Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian citizen to enter space when he flew aboard the Soviet rocket Soyuz T-11 launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic on 3 April 1984. The Soyuz T-11 spacecraft carrying cosmonauts including Sharma docked and transferred the three member Soviet-Indian international crew, consisting of Yury Malyshev, and Gennadi Strekalov, to the Salyut 7 Orbital Station. Sharma spent 7 days, 21 hours, and 40 minutes aboard the Salyut 7 during which his team conducted scientific and technical studies which included forty-three experimental sessions. His work was mainly in the fields of bio-medicine and remote sensing. The crew held a joint television news conference with officials in Moscow and then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. When Indira Gandhi asked Sharma how India looked from outer space, he replied, "Sare Jahan Se Accha" (the best in the world). This is the title of a patriotic poem by Iqbal , that continues to be popular today. With Sharma's voyage aboard Soyuz T-11, India became the 14th nation to send a man to outer space.

Astronauts of Indian origin

1. Kalpana Chawla

The first ever woman of Indian origin to visit space was Kalpana Chawla. Born in Karnal, Punjab, Chawla went to America to study engineering in Texas. She ultimately received a PhD in aerospace engineering and thus began her journey toward space.

She was one of the six-member crew on STS-87 in 1997 and travelled over 10.4 million miles. Her second mission was STS-107 in 2003. The fatal mission ended in disaster when the shuttle disintegrated while re-entering Earth after a successful mission in space.

Chawla was awarded Congressional Space Medal of Honour, posthumously.

2. Sunitha Williams

Sunita Williams was selected as an astronaut by NASA in 1998 and is a veteran of two space missions, Expeditions 14/15 and 32/33. NASA Expedition 14/15 (December 9, 2006 to June 22, 2007). Ms. Williams was launched with the crew of STS-116 on December 9, 2006, docking with the International Space Station on December 11, 2006 and Expedition 32/33 (July 14 to November 18, 2012). Again she was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.  While on-board, she established a world record for females with four spacewalks totalling 29 hours and 17 minutes.

3. Raja Jon Vurputoor Chari

Raja Jon Vurputoor Chari, an Indian-American astronaut test pilot, was born on June 24, 1977. He holds more than 2,000 flying hours and is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States Naval Test Pilot School, and United States Air Force Academy graduate. In the American Air Force, he has the rank of colonel.

In June 2017, Chari was selected for NASA Astronaut Group 22, and reported for duty in August to begin two years of training as an astronaut.

In December 2020, Chari was selected to be a part of the Artemis Team, a group of astronauts "to help pave the way for the next lunar missions including sending the first woman and next man to walk on the lunar surface in 2024." The same month, he became the first astronaut from Group 22 to be selected for a space mission, SpaceX Crew-3, which he commanded. Chari is the first NASA rookie to command a spaceflight since Joe Engle, who commanded the STS-2 mission in 1981.

On March 23, 2022, Chari and ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer exited the Quest Joint Airlock on the ISS and  performed an EVA.

4. Sirisha Bandla

American aeronautical engineer Sirisha Bandla, born in India in 1988,and is another Indian American astronaut. She works for Virgin Galactic as the Vice President of Government Affairs and Research Operations. After Rakesh Sharma, Kalpana Chawla, and Sunita Williams, she was the third Indian-origin woman to travel to space  in the Virgin Galactic Unity 22 project.
