Which habit changed your life?

  • Waking up early: During my 12th standard I had gotten into a habit of studying late and then waking up at around 9–10am. This was kind of working for me at the time, so I kept with it. But I quickly realized, how much this was stressing me out. I started waking up early, so that when I wake up I can feel the whole fresh day ahead of me.
    • Even now, I wake up early except for a few days when I am really lazy or tired :)
    • For me waking up early helps me relax my mind, and body.
  • Eating Healthy: Before I started doing this, I used to feel how difficult it would be to leave all the junk food. It would probably make me uneasy and irritated. But I have quickly understood, it is quite the opposite. When I left all that, I stopped having cravings for things like pizza too. It actually helped me a lot to keep my mind healthy. Obviously, there are benefits to your body physically, but I just feel it has helped me get rid of stress and fast moving environment.
  • Bathing: I used to take a bathe after some time of studying in my school days. My brother still does it. But taking a bath early morning, helps me wake up properly and just get a quick and fresh start on the day.
  • Books and Newspapers: I can not believe that at this point in my life I am what you might call a bookworm. But when I was younger, I could not stand the thought of reading newspapers or books. For this, I have my father to thank for, because he was the one who really encouraged and pushed me to do it. Now, I kind of can not start my morning without my precious newspaper and reading few chapters of the books I am currently reading. It has really helped me get a lot of vast knowledge, and in turn made me confident of what I say.
