Where have you eaten the best street food (in India)?

It would be definitely Indore.. You have to visit this city of street food to believe it.. There is a saying that a Indori Person “Lives to Eat”instead of “”Eat to Live”.

For a vegetarian, being in Indore will feel like you’ve died and gone to street food heaven especially while visiting Chappan Dukan, the 56 shops that offer a mind-numbing array of snacks, and the stalls at old Sarafa Bazaar that open at sundown. Here you get street food 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Firstly, the snack that every Indori swears and lives by

Poha Jalebi - It contains cooked Poha (flattened rice) and is usually served with a unique combination of Jalebi (called Poha-Jalebi combined), Sev, Usal, sliced onions and funnel seeds.

Bhutte ka kees - Bhutte ka kees is essentially mashed boiled corn lightly spiced with fennel seeds, cumin and dried mango powder and garnished with chewy grated coconut.

Khopra Patties - Delicious balls of fried potato with a surprise coconut centre dunked in an unhealthy amount of green and red chutneys.

Garadu - an Indori speciality of small cubes of yam that have been fried and sprinkled with spices to make a delicious crispy chaat.

Dahi Bada - This tasty snack consist of fried urad dal dumplings dunked in a creamy whipped yogurt topped with spicy and sweet chutneys.
