Some of the most useless awards that our actors have got include the following.
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Senon won a special award titled “Nothing to Hide” award. I don't know what this award means and why is this award given.
Parineeti chopra was given a special award called “Gamechanger” award for……weight loss (such a great achievement that she spent one year to lose weight that she was criticised for)
Chennai Express got a Filmfare Award for “Trendsetter of the year”!! (I would like to know which trend was set by the film).
For three years Filmfare used to give Filmfare Power Award which used to award the most powerful and popular people of the industry (the one who won were obvious- SRK, Amitabh, Yash Chopra). I don't know what was the purpose of such Award!!
Then there are some mock awards - we all know Golden Kela and Ghanta awards but even Filmfare had a category of mockery awards. In the 2007 Filmfare, SRK and Saif gave away “Na-Real” Award shaped like a coconut.
So the award for worst hairstyle was given to Rani Mukherjee for Ta Ra Rum Pum. Ramesh Sippy was handed over the award for the worst adaption of a film (His Sholay was remade into Aag). So when he was asked what he will do with the award he replied “I will hit Ramu (Ram Gopal Verma with this). Most of this went well. Akshay Kumar even came to he stage to offer a speech. They even gave an award to Saif Ali Khan for Eklavya and SRK was nominated for his dancing in the weddings. So it was all humorous except for some, partuclarly for the newcomers or outsiders who felt it like bullying.
When Vidya Balan was given the Na-Real Award for Worst costume for Heyy Babyy she felt humiliated because they didn't called out the director and the costume designers who selected the dresses but mocked the actress for wearing it. She said in an interview that when she was given the script she asked the organisers why Sajid Khan and Manish Malhotra are not given this award and can she call them out as well. The organisers were not ready. But Vidya still called out both of them after she was given the award.
