What are some examples of bad design?

These pictures are hilarious and are perfect examples of bad design .

  • Long yellow things.
  • This is almost beyond irritating.
  • Well done, Africa.
  • Forgetting anything?
  • This is genuinely quiet terrifying!
  • Getting the basics horribly wrong.
  • Total disappointment.
  • So close yet so far!
  • The editor messed up.
  • Ouch! Looks pretty painful.

The last one is my favourite!

  • Fork on the road.

Thanks for reading!

Hope you liked it!

Which scientists had really bad habits?

There’s a lot to love about Richard Feynman. The man was a brilliant physicist, lock-picker, jokester, story-teller, teacher, and so much more.

The way Stanford professor Leonard Susskind put it, “he always made me feel smart… He made me feel he was smart. He made me feel we were both smart, and the two of us could solve any problem together.”

But, for a while at least, Feynman didn’t brush his teeth, according to his colleague Murray Gell-Mann. He thought brushing was a superstition. Gel-Mann says his dentists had a lot of trouble. At one point, they even brought in scientific studies, trying to get the guy to brush and floss.

Some of his other habits were more amusing. He worked at Caltech for much of his life. The Caltech faculty club had a jacket-and-tie dress policy. Every morning, he would show up at work with a jacket and tie. But every day, by noon, he’d no longer be wearing them. When he got to the faculty club for lunch, he’d go to the backup wardrobe and pick out a messy tie and beat-up jacket for lunch.

(If you haven’t read them already, I highly recommend Feynman’s books Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman and What Do You Care What Other People Think?; they’re probably the two best things I’ve read in the past year.)

Are all criminals bad?

Rehman Baloch : He was notorious criminal of Karachi and convicted of 100 crimes.

Powerful : No wonder, he ran one of the most powerful crime syndicates of south Asia.

Popular : But , he was very popular across lyari ; where his word was nothing short of a gospel.

Public : Baloch saw in him a powerful icon; who could speak and stood for them in time of distress.

Politics : Cops called him dacoit ;but politicians and press depicted him as Rehman Baloch.

His support was sought by many political parties of Pakistan.

Power broker : Political analysts point out ; he was like a power broker during his heydays.

Philanthropy : It may sound strange ; he built hospitals ; schools; parks and residential colonies in lyari.

Interestingly, he popularized football tournaments in Karachi neighborhoods.

Poignant : His poignant childhood and youth proverbially conditioned him to become a mobster.

Pathetic : Well, as an adolescent ; he had killed his own mother in fit of rage.

He made his henchmen play football with heads of his murdered rivals.

Facts : He was neither a hero nor a villain ; but victim of circumstances.

No wonder , his controversial death became a major political turmoil in Pakistan.

His crimes can’t be justified but he earned goodwill.

He died quite young.

Akshaye Khanna earned praise for enacting Rehman Baloch in Dhurandhar - a mega hit movie.

Perhaps : “Every society gets the kind of criminal it deserves”. : Robert Kennedy
