Karishma Kapoor is one of the well known actresses of Bollywood. She is one of the popular actresses of 90s and early 2000s Karishma is the daughter of Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor and actress Babita.
In her filmy career she has won many accolades including one National Award. Till now she has won 4 Filmfare Awards.
She has won a National Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film Dil To Pagal Hai which got released in 1997.
Karishma was nominated 8 times for Filmfare Awards and has won 4 Filmfare Awards for the following films-

- Fiza (2000) -Best Actress Award.

For the film Dil To Paagal Hai, as a Best Supporting Actress she had also received Bollywood Movie Awards, Zee Cine Awards and Sensui Viewers’ Choice Movie Awards.
For the film Fiza as a Best Actress she has won :
People's Choice Award, Zee Cine Award, IIFA Award, Bollywood Movie Award, Bengali Film Journalists Association Award and Sansui Viewers’ Choice Movie Award along with Filmfare Award.
In 2002 she has received Smita Patil Memorial Award.
In 2003 Boolywood Movie Awards for Most Sensational Actress for the film Shakti : The Power.
She was also honoured with Padma Shri Award.
Recently Karishma was honoured with Indian Achiever's Award 2023. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari presented the Award.
Karishma made her debut at the age of 16 with the film Prem Quidi in1991. She established herself as one of the successful actresses of 90s and early 2000s. She has acted with all leading actors of her time. Govinda and Karishma was one of the hit pairs which acted in many box office hits. Karishma is a good dancer.
Her some of the box office hit films are Anari, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Raja Hindustani, Judwa, Biwi No. 1, Hum Saath Saath Hain etc.
As a leading actress, Dangerous Ishq was her last film which got released in 2012.
In 2013 she made a guest appearance in a song in the film Bombay Talkies.
In 2018 she made a Cameo role in the film Zero.
In 2020 she appeared in the Web Series Mentalhood.
Karishma's upcoming film is Murder Mubarak, it is under filming.
