The Anji Bridge in China is the world's oldest and strongest stone arch bridge. Built between 595 and 605 AD during the Sui Dynasty, it was designed by a craftsman named Li Chun. It was the world's first segmental arch bridge to be built of stone. Over the past 1,400 years of its history , the bridge has survived ten floods, at least eight wars, and numerous earthquakes, including the 7.2-magnitude earthquake of 1966. The supporting structure remained intact, and the bridge is still in use today and remains completely safe.
