What are some of the biggest career mistakes of Bollywood stars?

 1. When Saif Ali Khan went all out against his film Humshakals and said that 'it was a mistake'. In a report by the Times of India, he was reported as saying:

“The film was very regressive. In fact, while watching it, I asked myself what I was doing in it. I knew I had let my fans down and underestimated their intelligence. I've been introspecting a lot and will never repeat a mistake that was Humshakals.”

2. When Emraan Hashmi said that 'kuch filmein kitchen chalane ke liye bhi karni padti hain', hinting at his movie Good Boy Bad Boy. He further added.

Good Boy Bad Boy toh aisi movie thi ki kitchen hamesha ke liye band ho jaaye.

3. When Shahid Kapoor said he wished he hadn't done Shaandaar, Chup Chup Ke and Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi. Elaborating on the third, he said:

I think it was trying to be an international film and we didn’t have the kind of expertise to do that kind of computer graphics.

4. When Ajay Devgn critiqued Sajid Khan's way of making Himmatwaala, a movie he said he knew will be a flop.

“I thought the film (Himmatwala) will be shot the way Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai was shot in retro style. What Sajid did is he took 80s film and shot it in 80s style only. Himmatwala would have worked if it would have been made in today's styling and punch lines but it went back in time.”

5. When Govinda said he took up the role in Kill Dil only because his family said he'll be left behind.

“I asked my wife and my children about it. They very honestly told me that I didn't have much of a choice. The kind of roles I wanted to do were not coming my way and I wasn't keen on the kind of offers I was getting. My family told me to take up the offer, or I'll be left behind.”

What are some common mistakes in Indian movies?

Well very few people had noticed this mistake from the movie :

3 Idiots (2009)

When Farhan (R. Madhavan) & Raju (Sharman Joshi) reaches Ranchoddas Shamaldas Chanchad (as Jaaved Jaaferi) house, Ranchoddas is praying to his dad that he couldn't fulfill his last wish with a POT in hand.

To reveal the information about their friend Rancho (Amir Khan), Farhan and Raju steals that POT from the table and run. And later threatens to put the Ostia (Astiya) inside the POT into the toilet.

By the time Farhan actully throws the CAP of POT in the toilet.

But during their conversation (don’t know how) the CAP is again back to the POT.

What are some major mistakes of Bollywood films?

 Krrish 3:

In the song Raghu Pati Raghav Raja Ram, the magic of Krrish continues as his shirt is sometimes full sleeve and when he has to show his muscles it turns to half sleeve. Dad ki picture hai, chalta hai …

Maine Pyar Kiya:

There is a smoking scene of Salman and Laxmikant Berde in the film. You can see here only two –three puffs are taken.

When Reema Lagoo enters they hide the cigarettes behind their back. Here you can see that merely two-three puffs are left.

As the scene moves further Salman is shown with a new cigarette. The scene is at a stretch .i.e. it’s a continuity scene.

So how can Salman lit a new cigarette in the presence of Reema Lagoo??

PK:

Alien Aamir Khan transfers all the languages and concepts and each and every detail through this lady by holding her hands.

There was surely a network problem during the process and that may be the reason that PK was unaware about what is a condom?

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara:

In this scene Katrina is shown wearing a pink top. She asks, Can I borrow your bike?, but in the next scene when she is going to meet Hrithik the top color changes to Maroon.

Seriously, Can I borrow your top??

Badlapur:

There is a scene in the film where Varun Dhawan’s character (Raghu) threatens Harman in his house. He throws a bottle of wine on the wall which gets stained but in the next scene the stains disappeared.

Who licked the wine?

Baby:

There is a car chase scene of Akshay Kumar in the film.

The chase was fine but there was surely a problem with the vehicle.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag:

While making a biopic or periodic film it becomes essential that we do not time travel in any case.

You have to take care of minor details. In one of the scenes a network tower can be seen in the frame.

Race 2:

Saif gets out of a yellow Lamborghini and as he moves towards the camera, a bomb goes off in the car.

A split second later, the car that explodes is different from the one he got out.

Pyaar Ka Punchnaama:

This 2011 Hindi romantic comedy film, directed by Luv Ranjan is the story of three working bachelors who find girls whom they fall in love with and the twists and turns of the newly developing love stories.

It has a scene where the three friends come on a bike to a Dhaba and leave in a jeep. Continuity ??????

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun:

In the song Didi Tera Devar Madhuri is first shown wearing the saree in a Gujrati style.

Later in the song it changes as per the scene’s necessity and then it again gets back to normal.

Not a big deal in Bollywood where number of sarees are changed in a single song.

What mistakes were made in films that became famous?

Some films have remained etched in the history of cinema, and the general public remembers them as masterpieces. But even they have had some minor flaws.

Titanic: In one scene Leonardo DiCaprio tells Rose that he went fishing in Lake Wissota. The problem is that the Titanic sank in 1912 and Lake Wissota was formed in 1917.

Braveheart: A story set in the 1300s with Mel Gibson impersonating William Wallace and wearing a kilt. Too bad the kilt didn't become popular until 300 years later, in the 1600s.

Gladiator: Russell Crowe in the film is nicknamed " The

Hispanic ", an old French word from the 1300s. Big mistake! The film is set in 180 BC, a thousand years before the word was invented .

Django: In the 2012 cult film, Django (played by Jamie Foxx) wears sunglasses. But back then they were rare, more like prescription sunglasses.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: In the scene where Malfoy falls to the ground, a camera operator is visible on screen as the Hogwarts students look on.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Here, Captain Barbossa loves to eat apples. In one scene he is holding a green apple, a Granny Smith variety, which did not exist until 1868, about 140 years after the time in which the film is set.

The Lord of the Rings: In a battle scene, the watch can be seen on Gandalf's wrist.

What are the most costly mistakes ever made in history?

  1. The land is useless.

Alexander II of the Russian Empire thought Alaska was just a useless ice land, so he sold it to America for a very cheap price (7.2 million USD) (which would be worth 1 billion dollars today), but now Alaska is one of the most important areas in the world with an estimate of more than 50 billion dollars.

(Russia sold Alaska because it was under pressure from the Crimean War. Russia was afraid that England would be able to infiltrate Alaska through Canada, especially since the area was remote and difficult to defend. FYI, the number of Russian residents in Alaska at that time was not even more than 1000 people, so this price was enough to break even for both of them. Alaska's utility value came from oil, and this was only discovered in 1902).

2. The wrong tools can cost more than 720 billion USD in losses.

The Chernobyl explosion is arguably the most expensive mistake ever made due to the use of faulty equipment, so it could be one of the most expensive mistakes in the world.

3. The heaviest submarine in Spain.

The Spanish government spent about 1.75 billion dollars to build a new submarine (Isaac Peral), but after the construction was completed, they realized that the submarine was too heavy to operate in the water, so they rebuilt the ship and lost 1.75 billion USD.

4. Expensive ships that unfortunately sank too soon throughout history.

Vasa , a $200,000 Swedish ship in the 17th century (it would be more expensive now) that was built to be the strongest ship in the world, but unfortunately, this ship sank immediately while still in the shipyard.

5. Beirut explosion.

The Beirut explosion is one of the biggest mistakes in history. You will say that this is not history. Not really, the reason for this explosion has been around for 6 years and this explosion caused more than 15 billion dollars in damages, including human lives…

6. Europeans who killed all the cats.

(Religious disgrace) After the pope ordered the people to kill all cats because they considered them to be the incarnation of the devil, the Black Plague spread throughout Europe and killed millions of people, finally in the 14th century they imported cats from the Middle East and Africa.

7. Anglo-Spanish War

This war caused Spain to lose all their colonies in Africa and America, including their ships and treasures. This was all due to Spain being proud of its strength and power.

5 SmartPhone Mistakes to Avoid at All Cost

There is no question that smartphone has changed the way how we live. For most part, it has enhanced the quality of our life dramatically.
But, the question we all should ask ourselves is that are we smart in how and when we are using our smartphones?
Let us not mistake information for knowledge. Just because we have all the information right at our fingertips doesn’t mean our knowledge has improvement.
The following 5 points will help you to get your thinking going in the right direction. Take some time to reflect and see whether you are using these devices smartly.
I’m still learning and make some of these mistakes. But, I’ve taken a conscious effort to make sure that my smartphone is not controlling my life.

1. Not Connecting with Friends, Family and Life

When you are with your friends and family, be fully present. Is watching news, or checking emails more important than having a nice conversation with someone by paying full attention and being fully present with them?
When you are playing with your kids in the park, or at home, enjoy every moment. Do they really feel that they are getting your full attention and love? What will happen if you put the phone down, and give your full attention to them and play with them?
Do you have to keep taking pictures of every moment of life on your phone? There is nothing wrong it taking pictures to capture the magic moments. But, don’t always live in the future by constantly taking picture to look at later. Instead just enjoy the present moment of and experience it fully.
When we are waiting for something, irrespective of where we are, can we just quietly absorb the environment, start a friendly conversation with someone, or just smile.
While texting is helpful in certain situations, don’t live your life constantly texting or sending IM messages on your phone. What will happen instead of sending several text/IM messages to the same person, you just call them and have a quick conversation? Will you feel more connected when you interact with them over digital messages, or interact with them directly and hear their voice?

2. Putting Yourself and Others in Danger

When you are driving, just drive. You’ve seen that many people when they are driving, their focus is not on the road, they are constantly looking at the smartphone checking their emails. Don’t fall into this trap yourself. Whatever that is on the smartphone that you want to check can wait until you reach your destination. Just focus on the road, and don’t put yourself and others in danger.
When you are walking, just walk. Sometimes it feels like lot of mindless zombies are walking around the street fiddling on their cellphone. The problem is that they are putting themselves in danger, when they don’t pay attention to what is happening around them.

3. Not Being Productive

When you are working, just work. Focus on what you are doing, and get it done.
When you are in a meeting, are you fully engaged in making sure the outcome of the meeting is met? Most meeting conducted by many companies are pretty much useless and a productivity drain. Except the one who is talking, probably most of people in a meeting are on their computer, or smartphone.
Do you have only the essential apps in your smartphone that will absolutely enhance your life if you use it? Or, do you have countless apps on your smartphone that will just consume your time, if you even open them? How much time do you spend playing Angry Bird?

4. Getting Addicted

The urge to constantly be on your smartphone is pretty much the same urge as smoking, or excessive drinking, or any other addition.
During a conversation, when someone asks a casual question, do you feel compelled to search the internet immediately on your phone to give an exact answer to that question? While you might not realize it, this is also a form of addiction.
If you are a sports fan, is it important to track every single game in your favorite sports that is happening every minute from your phone? What will happen if you decide not to follow the scores on your phone?
Do we need to know everything that is happening around the world immediately after it happens? What will happen if you choose not to follow the news on your smartphone? Are you addicted to news?

5. Not Taking Care of Yourself

When you are by yourself, give some space to yourself to appreciate life, to be grateful for everything you have. You don’t need to be constantly on smartphone, or on tablet, or on laptop and bombard yourself with information.
Immediately after you wake-up, do you really need to pick-up your phone and check for emails, or news? If you didn’t do that, how else could you be starting your beautiful day?
When you are relaxing, just relax. During your downtime when you are taking rest, if possible, try not to carry all your gadgets with you. Have you tried spending some extended period of time without your cellphone? Is it possible for you to take rest, or enjoy your vacation, or any other relaxing activity for one full day without carrying your phone?
Finally, be honest to yourself and find out the answer to this question: Is your phone controlling every moment of your life? Or, are you in full control of how to use, when to use, and where to use your phone?
