I. Omission of the Kannada Industry 2019

In 2019, during a press conference, she said GEETHA GOVINDAM was her first start in the film Industry and later in 2023 during the Animal press conference said “I got my first break in Telugu”

She also referred to her Kannada Debut film - Kirik Party (325% returns by the way) as “Some Kannada Film by some Kannada Director”

This angered Kannada fans

Fans like deference

Tamil fans like Shivarajkumar saying he went to college in TN and Kannada fans like Rajini saying how he was a devout Annavaru fan (Annavaru = Rajkumar)

II. Her Breakup with Shetty

She had a well publicized relationship with one of the shettys (Can't be the Kantara Director as he has a 9–10 year old son who came in Kantara Chapter I)

However because of the NATURE OF HER COMMENTS - She was painted as a GOLD DIGGER who abandoned the guy for someone else (Vijay Devarakonda). She was called DAGAAR which only my Kannadiga friends can tell, what it means (Not a good word I presume 😁)

 The island shown in the film Shaan which was antagonist Shakaal's den (played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda) is Steep Holm, an English Island in the Bristol Channel, in Somerset, England.

Director Ramesh Sippy was very much concerned about Shakaal's well sophisticated den.

A huge set was erected in Filmcity Studio, Mumbai which had a glass and mirror set. The entire cost of the set was more than 8 Lakh Rupees which was a huge amount in the 80's decade.

What encouraged the classical actor Dilip Kumar to enter into the Bollywood film industry?

 Dilip Kumar's best friend was Raj Kapoor as they were childhood friends both were born in Peshawar of British India before independence of India.

Dilip Kumar was well known as Tragedy King in the Bollywood film industry because of his well appreciated films were immensely tragic, wherein helpless men were portrayed in tragic situations which had inveterate emotional depth which influenced the audience as if they are in the real life situation. Through the films like Devdas his name became a part and parcel of movie lovers as they found realistic performance in the entertainment field.

The profound intimacy between Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor began well before they stepped into the film field right from their childhood as they were born and brought up in the same place.

The legendary actor Dilip Kumar's first inspiration to enter into the acting field was actor Motilal, he admired him and addressed him as his own elder brother , Moti Bhayya. He also got inspired by Hollywood actors Paul Muni and Marlin Brando.

He had perhaps never thought that he would become a noted film star in the history of Indian cinema as before he became an actor he was working in British Army Canteen in Mumbai and he was also selling dry fruits for his livelihood.

When time started manifesting his real artistic potential he was first noticed by already well known personality Devika Rani, a leading actress, film maker of that time and her husband Himanshu Rai, who trained their eyes to identify his talents and gave him a chance to act in their own company. The name of their company was famous Bombay Talkies. Dilip made his acting debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944.

Dilip Kumar's had his own inborn acting skills which is also called as method of acting which not only gave him successful career but also motivated many popular actors in Bollywood like Manoj Kumar, Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Aamir Khan, Mamoothy, Nawazuddin Siddhique, Naseeruddin Shah and many others.

During the time when it was before independence of India and also during the period of independence there was a sort of unity among all Indians and we can find that there was a kind of harmony in the whole India but there was healthy competition and they also made the films which gave good messages to the audience.

ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಸ್ನೇಹ, ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ತೂಗುದೀಪ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನೆಯ ಕನಸು ನನಸು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅಂದು ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಣುತಿದ್ದ ಫಲಕ "ಮು ಪಾ ಕೃಪ".ಈ ಮನೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುತ್ತುರಾಜ್ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ಕೃಪ ಎಂದೇ ಕರೆದರು.

ಚಿತ್ರ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಖಳ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು ಅವರು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಪೋಷಕ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳೇನು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಲ್ಲ. ತಾವು ತೆರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಖಳ ನಾಯಕನ ಇಮೇಜ್ ಹೊತ್ತ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಜೊತೆಗಿನ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಸಂಗವಿದು.ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮಡದಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮೀನಾ ತೂಗುದೀಪ ಅವರ ಮಾತೂ ಇರುವುದು ಈ ಪ್ರಸಂಗದ ವಿಶೇಷ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರ ರಂಗದ ಮೊದಲ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಯಾವುದು?

 ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಶತಮಾನ ಪೂರೈಸಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದೂ ವಾಸ್ತವ.

ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಮಾತಿನ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಆಲಂ ಅರಾ ತೆರೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮುಂಚಿನ (1931)ದಶಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 1338ಮೂಕಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದವು ಎಂದೂ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಕೇವಲ 29 ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳ ವಿವರಣೆ /ಪ್ರಿಂಟ್ /ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು ಲಭ್ಯವಿದೆ . ಉಳಿದ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳ ಪ್ರಿಂಟ್ಗಳು ಇರಲಿ, ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ಸಿಗದು. ಇದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ ಮೊದಲ ಟಾಕೀ ಚಿತ್ರ ಆಲಂ ಅರಾ ಪ್ರಿಂಟ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಲಭ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ 1279 ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಸೆನ್ಸಾರ್ ಆಗಿವೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಾದ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳು ಇದ್ದಿರಬಹುದು.ದಾದಾ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಫಾಲ್ಕೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ ರಾಜಾ ಹರಿಶ್ಚಂದ್ರ ಮೇ 1913ರಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮೊದಲ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಕಂಡು ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ 27 ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದವು ಎಂಬ ವಿವರಣೆಯು ಕಾಣಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದಿಷ್ಟು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಇತಿಹಾಸ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಆಸಕ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಅಡಗಿವೆ.ಅದು ಬೇರೆಯೇ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ.

ಈಗ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮೊದಲ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರೋಣ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮೊದಲ ವಾಕ್ತ್ಚಿತ್ರ 1934ರ ಸತಿ ಸುಲೋಚನಾ.ಆದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡ ಮೂಕಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ನಗಣ್ಯವೇನಲ್ಲ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಯಾರಾದ ಮೂಕಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು 55 ಎನ್ನುವ ಅಂದಾಜಿದೆ.ಆ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ 1929ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡ ವಸಂತ ಸೇನಾ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು ಎಂಬುದು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಉತ್ತರ. . ಆದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲೇ ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲದ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಗೊಂಡ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು ಇದೆ.

1921ರಲ್ಲಿ ಎ. ವಿ. ವರದಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ರತ್ನಾವಳಿ ಥೀಯೇಟರ್ ಕಂಪನಿ ಎಂಬ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರುಪಮಾ ಎಂಬ ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡುತಿದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ತಾವೇ ಆ ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.ಈ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನೇ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ವಿದೇಶಿ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ನಿರುಪಮಾ ನಾಟಕ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ನಾಟಕದ ಅನುವಾದವಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಅಂದಿನ ಯುವರಾಜ ಕಂಠೀರವ ನರಸಿಂಹ ರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ,

1925 ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಾದ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಕಬೀರ್.ಗುಬ್ಬಿ ವೀರಣ್ಣನವರ ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗುತಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಕಬೀರ್ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಮದರಾಸಿನ ರಂಗಯ್ಯ ನಾಯ್ದು ಆ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನೇ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರು. ನಾಟಕದ ಕಲಾವಿದರೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.ಇವು ಅಂದಿನ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತ. ವಸಂತಸೇನಾ ಹೊರ ಲೊಕೇಶನ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ.

ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲದೆ ಹರಿಮಾಯಾ,ಕಳ್ಳರ ಕಳ್ಳ,ರಾಜ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ, ಕನ್ನಿಕಾ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ

ಹಿಸ್ ಲವ್ ಅಫೇರ್, ಡೊವಿಂಗೋ, ಭೂತರಾಜ್ಯ, ಕೆಲ ಮೂಕಿ ಕಾಲದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು. ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಎಂದರೆ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ದೇವುಡು ನರಸಿಂಹ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಯವರು ಗುಬ್ಬಿ ವೀರಣ್ಣನವರು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಕತೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು.

 Not at all!!!! Dharmendra is the biggest self-made star in Bollywood.

Dharmendra was born in Nasrali, a village in Ludhiana district. He did his education from a government school. He participated in a talent hunt organised by Filmfare magazine and went to Mumbai as he was promised for a film role for winning the contest. The film was never made.

He had no money and knows no one in Mumbai. He gave several auditions and then got his first break in 1960 in film “Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere”. He got only 51/- Rs. as payment for his first film.

The film was not successful and his struggle continued. After years he got his first hit film Bandini and then his journey to stardom begin.

Dharmendra never got any Filmfare award. He never was supported by any big camp. He worked and worked and worked.. In his career of almost 60 years he has done around 250 films.
