The Tsar Bomba was the biggest nuclear bomb that was ever detonated. It was 1,570 times more powerful than the bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The mushroom clouds were 7 times taller than Mt Everest. Even though it was dropped on a Russian island in the Arctic, the flare was visible from Norway, Greenland and Alaska. The seismic blast was so tremendous that it shattered windows as far as Finland and Norway. Atmospheric pressure wave created by the blast was also detected as far as New Zealand.
Challenger Deep in Mariana Trench is the deepest point on earth. It is 6.8 miles deep which is deeper than 28 Empire State Buildings. It is so deep that no sunlight can penetrate its darkness and the pressure is so great that no fish can live at the bottom of the trench.
The heart of a blue whale, the largest living creature on earth, is the size of a small car. It beats once every 10 seconds and it can be heard by sonar equipment as far as 3 km away. Its mouth is so gigantic that it can house 100 people.
