Desert reforestation has been carried out by China, Israel and several Arab countries.
In Israel and other Arab countries, reforestation was carried out in a relatively small and limited area. But in China, reforestation was applied on a gigantic, massive, and comprehensive scale, transforming a desert into agricultural land and/or suitable for livestock.
So it can be said that only in China are there deserts that disappear from the map as the years go by.
