Raveena Tandon, Rekha and Akshay Kumar were the lead stars in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi. The rivalry between Rekha and Raveena stemmed from rumours of Rekha’s close proximity to Akshay Kumar. Raveena was unhappy about the pairing and alleged backstage closeness.
According to Raveena, Rekha was getting too close to Akshay during the making of the film. She also spoke about the uncomfortable close interactions between the two.
Raveena had to put her foot down on one instance when Rekha allegedy wanted to bring home-cooked lunch for him. At this point Raveena intended to teach Rekha a lesson but Akshay intervened and handled the situation.
Raveena was irritated and broke up with Akshay during the film. In later years, Raveena clarified that Akshay was not involved with Rekha and would try to run away from her. He was tolerating Rekha just for the sake of the film.
She also clarified that their relationship ultimately ended in 1998 because of Akshay’s constant ultimatums demanding her to choose between her acting career and him.
Akshay and Raveena were last seen together in Aan: Men at Work and Police Force: The Inside Story in 2004. After more than two decades both of them will be reuniting on the screen in the upcoming-action comedy, “Welcome to the Jungle” which is scheduled to release on 26th June, 2026.
